Hi, I recently purchased a 7.0 cgc copy of Weird Science #11 that has a Comic Connect sticker attributing it to the Nicolas Cage's personal collection. I don't believe it comes with any additional paper work other than the sticker. It's in an older cgc slab which doesn't have the nicolas cage attribution on it. If I send this into cgc for a new slab, what are the odds that they'll give me the 'From the Collection of Nicolas Cage" attribution. Do i need to include any documents (maybe photocopy of the comic connect sticker)? Is there any shot I can reach out to Comic Connect to see if they have additional records/provenance supporting that it's from cage collection? Edit: here’s the previous comic connect sale: https://www.comicconnect.com/item/461738#description?tzf=1 Anyone have experience with CGC honoring (or not) comic connect’s pedigree attribution? Thanks for the help! Alec

Hello, I’m a bit newer to the comic collecting scene and had a few questions about slabbing for personal collections (not intended to resell) These are comics in my personal collection that have meaning to me (some have value, some modern, some pre) and I would like to display them on a wall or shelf and really like the look of encased comics. my question is, would it be more cost effective to send them in at small batch sizes or wait to get 25 together and do a prescreen with a minimum grade at say like 5? thanks in advance for any answers. Sorry if I sound like a noob lmaoo

So I am looking around the at the X-Men Classic series, but I am needing some help on understanding it. I understand that each comic is a reprint with a little more detail of a specific comic like the first issue is a reprint of Giant Sized #1 and issue two is a reprint of X-Men #94. My question though, does anybody know if these comics flow as their own individual mini-series, or since they are reprints of what I see as random comics does that mean they really don't mix together as a story going from issue to issue or do they? I attempted looking it up, but couldn't find much.

A noob collector when it comes to CGC purchases. Used to collect comics buy going to the local comic book store buying a comic reading it then putting it back in the sleeve and storing it. However I started to get into collecting comics that are CGC graded and I have some noob general questions. 1)Often times on eBay sellers mention that a particular CGC comic is limited in quantity such as there are only 100 signed or there are only 20 that are graded 9.8 or only 100 that were made and that are 9.8 is there a way to verify this such as a credible data base? 2)I am mostly interested in buying comics in the bronze and modern as I think the majority are within my budget. How does one go about choosing a comic from this era that will have long term appreciation of hold its value? Currently I just buy the ones I remember enjoying reading them from before or if the cover art looks awesome. 3)Recently I see a lot of cool amazing Spider-Man variants for example, I see a lot of cool S. Campbell variants with his signature, sometimes its signed by S. Campbell only, sometimes its signed by both S. Campbell and Stan Lee does it matter long term for appreciation or get either one? I noticed the ones signed by Stan also are much more expensive even though the writer and penciling were done by someone else. Or if everyone involved with the comic signs it the price goes to the roof. This is a very fun hobby and I have many more questions but I don’t want to create such long posts. Appreciate the guidance and thank you in advance.

Hello everyone. I mentioned in an eariler thread about revealing the whereabouts of collection that was once an obsession of mine to track down. After talking to the now owner of it. I realize I won't be able to buy the whole thing. His unrealistic expectations are too much to deal with. Fortunately Ive been allowed to go through and pull a few boxes. After 10-15 boxes these last few weeks Im pretty much tapped out and want to share the rest with any locals that can make it over. The collection is in the basement of "on the hunt" antiques in waterford Mi. Roughly 200 long boxes left. The owner wants way to much for it all but if youre lucky he'll let you snag a few boxes. A good mix of stuff. Mostly bronze age and up now as most of the silver has been picked by myself and my partner. Still a lot to be had. My poor home is filled to the brim though, so my loss is your gain.

I've recently moved and cleaning through things, I'm looking to get rid of a bunch of comics I've got taking up space. I'm looking to get them out of the way quickly so I'm mostly selling them as series runs for the most part. Most if not all comics are bagged/boarded and are in NM condition, if any of them aren't they'll be pointed out with notes in bold along with pictures. Please post here or send me a message of what you're interested in buying, I check both often and will always sell to who asked to buy them first. other person will be contacted/replied to letting them know they've been claimed and at best if things fall through they'll be next in line. free shipping! I use first-class mail and will package issues safely as possible. Once payment has went through I'll ship out your order within 1 day at earliest but please consider it may take at most up to 3 days depending on when ordered. payment options as of right now I accept paypal (of course don't send money as friends, make sure it's known as payment for items). I am open to other forms of payment if we talk about it and it's possible to handle it. I won't offer refunds/returns. exceptions possible if major damage was caused during shipment. first post offers for issues has dibs, next post after will take over if sale falls through. X-men 92 mini series and following series #1-4 and #1-3 runs $28 The unbeatable squirrel girl #2-8 run $22 Tomboy #1-5 run $16 Drive #1-3 run $10 New romancer #1-5 $16 Eternal Soulfire #1-6 run $20 Batman Beyond #1-12 run $32 Rick and Morty #2-14 run $60 Teen Titans #1-20 run $55 Starfire #1-12 (missing #8) run $32 My little pony friendship is magic #1-42 run $170 My little pony friends forever #1-28 run $105 My little pony funko vinyl collection $250

I am need of advice from all of y'all. My only child, my son, died in car accident 19 years ago at 18yrs. Old. I am just now able to go through his comic book collection, which was his life until his death. They have been stored in an extra bedroom in my home so they have been kept safe with climate control. It appears they are dc and marvel collections, mostly Spider-Man, x-men, captain America and the like. He was a huge spider-man collector...his hero! All, I mean ALL his comic books he had in plastic sleeves with the backer board stuff...sorry I'm not savvy with comic book info. And all in those long cardboard boxes with lids for comics. There must be 1000s of comics, comic book cards in notebooks, action figures in boxes unopened....help? I'm quite sure I could be taken advantage of due to my ignorance so I prayed and here I am. I started buying my son comic books when he was 4 and thus it began. On special occasions I would purchase a SPECIAL comic book..always spider-man. I think the most I paid was $100.00 in the 80s and that was from working extra jobs...yea I was not wealthy by any means...what am I saying? I'm still not! Any advice would be greatly appreciated and please be gentle as this is soooo difficult for me. Thank you.
