Interested to see if anyone knows of specific traits or identifiable features that could be used to identify likely cover artists on Fiction House books? It seems like a lot of these Jumbo Comics covers are unattributed on comics.org. I imagine it's near impossible to attribute these books now with confidence--just wondering if there are things to look for? I'm specifically hoping to identify the likely cover artist on Jumbo Comics 121 (1949). Did Matt Baker create/contribute to any of these Jumbo Comics Sheena covers? Or just the sky girl interior art? Thanks!

I'll be listing about 22 books today. Most are Golden Age with a few Silver Age sprinkled through. I usually just list alphabetically unless I accidentally skip something. Some of them are from the Evelyn collection and fairly scarce, so as usual, I'm guessing on some of the prices. If I am off feel free to make an offer (up or down;) Some of these books I've had for at least 15 years, some I purchased last year, but I've made a few purchases recently and I want to be able to bid in an upcoming auction, so I made some choices;) (like we all do:) Most of these were slabbed by me, so if you want the graders notes, let me know and if I have them, I'll post them. I posted the notes for restored books, but the others are pretty common comments. I usually think CGC's grading is a bit higher than mine, but this batch was pretty tightly graded in comparison to prior submissions, but take a look at the books and decide. I'm using a fairly old slab scanner, so the colors might be brighter in person. I will add a cell photo for any book if requested. Payment is expected within 5 days, if you cannot make payment within 5 days please contact me before posting a take it. Reasonable time payments are possible, but we must agree to them prior to posting a First here or in a pm wins, if there is no way to determine the time, then the one on the boards wins. I accept Paypal, checks, or MO's. Every few sales I suggest something like diamond earrings...I've never got an offer for diamond earrings, but that's always something I'd consider (maybe;) please don't raid your wife's jewelry box and blame me;) I ship anywhere, and I charge exact shipping. I prefer to double box slabs, but I'm OK if you really really want me to stuff the book in a Medium FR box. I ship priority mail unless you are in Canada. If you are in Canada, I will ship first class (up to 4lbs) but anything over $200 to Canada needs a signature or a waiver from you. If you want to risk no signature it's OK, but my insurance only covers up to $200 without a signature. I pay for private insurance. My house is smoke free (Lizards can laugh now;) Returns for any reason, just notify me within 3 days of receipt. These are all slabbed, so return shipping is at the buyer's cost. No list people please.

Merry Christmas! My annual Holiday Sales Thread will begin tonight at 7 PM CST. I'll be listing hundreds of books over the next month. In fact, I have no doubt that this will be the best group of books at the best prices that I have ever offered. Invoices will be sent in mid January, and no shipping will occur until that time. So even if you don't have enough cash right now, you have about 1 month to save up for your purchases. I've had my best year in comics, between my website and the conventions which I have done. I've been extremely active buying this year. Not only have I been setting stuff aside all year long for this sale, but I also have just purchased a huge collection of primarily high grade books. Many of these books will be offered here before anywhere else. All of these books will be accurately graded and there is a 100% satisfaction guarantee on all of them. There will be Golden Age, Silver Age, and Bronze age. There are keys, semi-keys, movie books, high grades, mid grades, and low grades, and as always, lots of books that you just don't see offered. Almost all of it will be CHEAP, heavily discounted in some cases! Lots and lots of bargains for the collector, and even room for dealers to make money. I'm continuing to consolidate my collection a little bit and I'm still doing some house renovations so it inspired me to pull another 50+ books. I'll probably have to do 3 sessions, this morning till about 11:30 EST, Tonight from 8 pm till about 10 pm and the rest tomorrow night at 8. The slabs have not been listed before, some of the raw books were listed previously at higher prices so they should be bargains now. I added them in because some of the slabbed books are a little more expensive and I wanted books in all price ranges in the thread.. The raw books have not been cleaned or pressed. As for the slabs,I submitted most of the books and many were pressed by Joey Post. I marked the ones that I know for sure were not pressed or cleaned (because I don't have all of my books pressed or cleaned). I'm going to do shipping at my cost to be fair to those who are out of the Country or across the Country or near me. If you need a shipping quote, just ask. I use regional boxes whenever it's practical and I pay for private insurance and if you spend more than $200, I will pay for the signature that my insurance requires. I accept Paypal, Checks or Money Orders. Payment is due in 7 days unless we have made arrangements before you hit the Take it sign. I will be having one more large thread here on July 25th and 26th. I am limiting my personal collection to around 50 books that I like the best at this point, so some tough decisions coming. At this time I don't intend on selling any of the books in my signature line. I do not have any previews or pre-sales as I am working on figuring out what is staying and what is going but there will be a lot of great new books for you to purchase. I apologize that I cannot give more information about what is going up for sale here. Much will be last minute decisions. Wednesday, July 25th there will be approximately 50 golden age (with a couple select silver age) books offered. Everything from Action to Western Bandit Trails. The plan is to offer these on July 25th at 3:00 PM EST. Thursday, July 26th will be the MASSIVE PLANET COMICS sale with approximately 30 under copies (and in many cases over copies) of some of the nicest Planet Comics ever. I had a lot of Planet Comics before buying many from 3 of the best collections on the boards and this is not something you will want to miss. This is gonna be a pretty cool thread with a nice group of books. Everything from $50 on up. A lot of uncommon stuff you don't see every day. At least 50 books I would say. I cannot even tell you what all is going up yet because I need to do pictures and make a list with prices tomorrow. The plan is to put about half the books up Thursday at 5:15 PM EST and the rest on Friday sometime. USPS Priority Shipping is $7 for raw and $15 for slabs, no matter how many you buy. In Canada it is $15 for raw and $25 for slabs for First Class. Overseas ships at cost. Raw returns within a week are fine- buyer pays return shipping. No returns on graded books. in the thread Trumps all PM negotiations. No list or probation buyers. Payment via PayPal or check. Checks must clear before shipping unless I know you REALLY well. Sorry- No previews or presales. I don't even know what all I am selling yet. I do this COMPLETELY on a whim as the moment comes.
