Hi Folks, I don't normally bother with art day type posts, at least not for a few years, but this page is a bit special. http://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1440965 Not quite the one the got away, but the one that was a scam, and then @Nexus helped to save the day. Enjoy, I know I am! Simon

Hello, everybody! I spent a lot of time on these boards in between 2012 and early 2016 under the name Tibex82. I can't seem to locate my old KUDOS page, but I had hundreds of successful transactions with no problem. Some of you may recognize my old moniker and if that's the case, come say hello. Coming at you today is a whopping 105 short boxes of silver & bronze age comics. To name a few: Avengers, Hulk, X-Men, Shazam, Conan, Iron Man, Captain America and many more. I'm going to list sporadically as I sort through these, but please feel free to send me any requests via PM. I have everything from filler to KEYS, beaters to high grade. RULES: First "take it" is the winner and trumps any ongoing PM negotiations. I accept PayPal only. Shipping is $4.00 for up to 2 books, $6.00 for 3-5 and I will charge actual cost based on zip code after that. A flat rate Priority charge of $14.00 will be charged if more cost effective. Please PM me about international rates. This is not my personal collection and prices are set by the owner. That being said, I do have the authority to negotiate so consider everything OBO. Thanks for looking!

Hi everyone, Due to crazy happening I've finally decided that I shall have to liquidate my complete original owner (90% bought off the newstand) collection and I am debating what books are worth sending to CGC, please let me know your thoughts guys, Ive been out of the game for a decade or so, so all feedback is greatly appreciated. I'll be putting up a selection of books that I feel may justify being sent, if I've got it wrong please let me know, I can't afford to mess this decision up!!! All grade advice and guidance is invaluable to me. Also In doing my research today I have discovered something called pressing (wasn't around in my collecting heyday) so if any books look like they may benefit from this please let me know. thanks in advance guys Rye.

Hulk 1 came out in April, 1962. JIM 83 came out in August of that same year. Hulk #1 has about 1100 unrestored copies in the CGC census, JIM #83 has about 1240 unrestored copies in the CGC census. It's pretty standard to say that AF15, Hulk1, and FF1 are the 3 key marvel silver age books that are the toughest to find, and most significant, as well as valuable (btw AF15 came out same time as JIM83). Hulk 1 is certainly pricier than JIM 83. My question is, with census numbers so close, and Thor being perhaps a more interesting leading man in the marvel films, do you think that JIM83 may one day surpass HULK1 in terms of importance to collectors, and/or value in grade? the disparity seems greater than it ought to be. I'd love to hear everyone's thoughts on this.

I've posted the photo of the Marvel Value Stamp from this IH181 in some other threads and gotten interesting feedback, but I thought I might pick you all's brains on what kind of grade this would get overall. The three main issues with this comic from my completely inexperienced eye are: 1. price is marked out with black marker 2. page yellowing that gets worse at the bottom 3. the MVS was cut out by the original owner, taped into the collectors book, removed from the collectors book then re-taped into the comic in the same position. I've heard someone say that'd definitely get a Restoration grade, but another person said it'd be Qualified and posted CGC's views about tape. He seemed to think it would get graded as if the stamp were not present, and points deducted for there being tape. Do you all agree with that? Given all the issues combined and the general state of the comic, what do you suppose a Qualified or even a Universal grade for this might be? Thanks all for any help! Edit: oh one more question since I'm here: Would the tape on the stamp cause any ill effects if I had this pressed? And/or is there really any value in having a book in this shape pressed?

Just picked up a copy of Hulk 181, my first "major" issue in my collection. It's seen some better days, I'm pretty new at collecting but it looks like maybe a 2.0-3.0? would love to see your thoughts before I send it in! Thanks
