Just thought I'd post this kickstarter here for anyone that's interested. (I'm a backer) If you're a fan of Bill Sienkiewicz's art you'll probably dig Richard's aesthetic. The kickstarter is for issue 2 but you can still get issue 1 as an add-on. The quality on the first issue came out well enough I thought I'd share the 2nd. Enjoy! http://kck.st/3kGHRZ3

I read some his Uncanny & Battle Chasers back in the day, and the lady plays the Darksiders & Battle Chasers games... So we were discussing the two articles below regarding Joe Madureira not delivering on donor-funded rewards for the 2015 Battle Chasers Nightwar Kickstarter project, namely the promised issues of Battle Chasers #10-12. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1548028600/battle-chasers-nightwar/posts/2527154 https://www.bleedingcool.com/2019/06/16/joe-madureira-battle-chasers-10-12-image-anthology/ https://www.newsarama.com/45640-joe-madureira-says-battle-chasers-10-12-still-happening-but-with-a-catch.html There are lots of interesting discussion points [crowdfunding by established artists, his start at Marvel at 16, squandered potential (in comics), motivation in young artists]... and while Joe Mad always struggled to put out more than 3 months of consectuive issues, the most fascinating to me is that you could LITERALLY give Madureira 850K, 18 years, and he still would not finish a Battle Chasers comic.

Hi everybody! My partner and I've have just launched this Kickstarter campaign about republishing three comics of the renowned French artist, Pierre Wininger (1950-2013). The story is about a reporter, Victor Billetdoux, who by the help of his friend, investigates a strange incident in the Egyptian dessert... This spurs up everything and the two of them are soon intertwined in a deeper conspiracy involving strange shadowlike men, mad scientists, occult Egyptian mysticism and cunning people in search of a secret weapon. The story is great and it will all be featured in a hardcover volume book with English translations (the comics has only been published in France and Europe before). So I hope You will check it out! And please comment with Your thoughts e.g. or any questions you might have :-) https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1081152552/the-victor-billetdoux-trilogy-comic-by-pierre-wini?ref=discovery_category_newestThanks! Thanks! Lea :-) Copenhagen, Denmark

Hi comicheads, We create interactive digital graphic novels featuring metal bands from all over the world. The comic books are created in collaboration with real bands, based on their true stories and history. After conducting an initial interview with the band, we add some epic fantasy and mythology to the storyline, as well as use inspiration from their lyrics and real-life events from the band’s history. The bands, as well as record labels, become our close partners and collaborate during the creation and distribution of the graphic novels. Combining the story with new tech we present a digital comic book of the metal bands to their metalhead fans and not only. "EMISSARY OF THE ANUNNAKI:THE TALE OF THE FIRE KING" metal-themed graphic comics novel. It promises an engaging journey into the Grim Sumerian Underworld as well a sneak-peek of the mysterious fiery planet of Nibiru. It is an interactive story of a metal band mixed with dark fantasy, mythology, and documentary. This is not advertising, just assist us, soon we'll lunch a campaign in Kickstarter. Please, subscribe for release here: http://md-comics.com Thanks a lot!!!! *dear admin, if you want to delete this Topic, SORRY for it

Australia is full of amazing artists, we need to get behind them Back in the 80's a man named, Gary Dellar produced a comic book anthology showcasing some of the most amazing writers and artists in Australian. Gary is himself, a great writer and artist, and with the help of some of our amazing comic book talent, made this publication an amazing International success. Reverie, also helped start the international career of some of the best comic writers and artists. Two of the big names that contributed to Reverie are Fil Barlow and Michal Dutkiewicz Fil Barlow, is now an artist, cartoonist, writer, production designer currently based in Los Angeles and he became the creator of Zooniverse. Michal Dutkiewicz, is a professional illustrator and comic book artist based in Adelaide, South Australia, Michal went on to work for DC Comics Gary, with the help of George Hall (another exceptional writer/artist who also contributed to Reverie in its first run), have decided it's time to show off some new talent, there is plenty more to choose from in Australia. They have spent a lot of time and effort reviving Reverie, and have many new and exciting stories with a new generation of talent, along with some of the originals. This is an exciting time for Australia, please get behind it by making a pledge in the kickstarter and spreading the word with everyone you know.

A podcaster that I listen to has started a KickerStarter Campaign for his new Comic Shop Documentary movie. This isn't his first time behind the camera as he has three other movies under his belt. He worked at my first comic shop and he is an extremely gifted young gentleman. I have posted links to his podcast here in the past so I am hoping this post is favorable as well. I have no affiliation with Flat Squirrel, just would love to see the movie made. Here's the Kick Starter Campaign https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/flatsquirrel/my-comic-shop-country-documentary-film Visit the site to learn more about past initiatives: Flat Squirrel Productions - https://www.flatsquirrelproductions.com/ Podcast: iTunes: https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/my-comic-shop-history/id984071950 and Beyond My Comic Shop https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/flat-squirrel-tales-beyond-my-comic-shop/id1232624659 Podomatic - http://flatsquirrelproductions.podomatic.com/ and Beyond My Comic Shop http://flatsquirreltales.podomatic.com/

Hi I just joined and I wanted to introduce myself. Im Cole Brenner a new comic book creator/artist with my first comic Pip N' Rads on kickstarter right now! Cleared my goal on day 2, but more than funding I really want to introduce these two wild characters to comic book fans. Im super excited I found this active community of comic readers. My comic started at a 24 hour drawing event held by the awesome Boulder, CO store, Time Warp Comics. Since then Ive drawn hundreds of hours, inked and so on. The comic is for adults, a sort of Calvin and Hobbes in a Fallout inspired Apocalypse, my art is B&W inspired by Harry Crumb and an overall vibe of a Kevin Smith movie with action like Kill Bill or Apocalypse Now. (or so I aspired to be like that ) Kickstarter Pip N’ Rads #1 Aug. 7th - Sept. 5th 2017 by Cole Brenner kickstarter.com/projects/1919645699/pip-n-rads-1-the-search-for-giddy-up-buttercup Short Url - goo.gl/fAmA9u So its active until the 5th, backers are fantastic but I am really looking to show it off and gain fans. Theres digital only options. I also have had trouble finding other press or blogs or youtubers that I can send a sample and get the word out? So comment any suggestions, links or info that would help a first issue get exposure. Thanks for checking it out and I hope some of you dig Pip N' Rads! ~Cole

Writer/Artist/Producer/Animator Rob Feldman is running a Kickstarter campaign to fund production of his new comic coloring adventure book featuring his great character CYKO KO. Check out his campaign here. Cyko KO hearkens back to the Golden Age of Saturday morning cartoons, with colorful characters, goofy villains, and most of all...FUN! Rob also pioneered animated webtoons for CYKO KO on Line Webtoons. Rob has chosen a unique hybrid format for what is really a graphic novel. It will be printed in a clear black and white style, encouraging young readers to color it. Some pages also feature activities. And at the bottom of those pages, a suggested physical challenge is presented for a friend to do while the reader does the activity. For example - "Try to do 20 pushups before your friend completes the activity!" So in addition to being interactive and having a fun story, it encourages young people and their friends and families to get up and get some physical activity! Rob is working with Alterna Press to create and produce an all-ages that will provide hours of entertainment and activities! Rob also created the fun and scary character Dr. Shroud, Vampire Killer! I've worked with Rob on several projects and he is a great guy and a creator that is dedicated to making fun and rewarding content. Here's hoping you will check out the campaign and consider offering your support. The world needs more comic books that are FUN!
