I'm offering some rare books today - Ace Periodicals Four Favorites and Super-Mystery Comics. Not your common thread. But first! The rules!!! No Bad people, HOSers, Probies or others who will sully the process and cause chaos and havoc with me or the process. First unqualified in the thread trumps all negotiations and PM/DM agreements. I do listen to offers and package deals. Payments up to $1,000 PayPal, Check or Money Order. Above $1,000 Check or Money Order. Books will not be shipped until check/MO clears bank. Time payments allowed for purchases over $1,000 - 20% non-refundable deposit, and no more than 3 months to pay off the balance. Shipping will USPS Priority for purchases under $1,000, Registered for above, and both are free in CONUS and will be fully insured. Canada and elsewhere we can discuss how and how much shipping will be. No Returns - these are all newly graded by CGC. If there is damage during shipping they will be insured so we can go through that. Not sure how long I will leave this up. I have heard this weekend is slow because Boardies may actually be someplace called "Outside" having food cooked to ashes over charcoal or gas flames, and imbibing strange beverages that cloud their judgement. I don't want to to believe it, but in case it is true I will leave this up well into the week upcoming, or until they are all sold! Thanks for looking,

The Books Some really great books some friends have asked me to put up for sale for them. Some of my own too. Consider all books pressed unless mentioned otherwise. General Rules No PL/HOS members The new board software does not display precise thread post times (either in PMs or in sales threads), which can result in the inability to determine whether a PM post or thread post came first. One thing remains certain - it is easy to tell whether one post in a thread came before another post in the same thread. So, the first "take it" posted in the sales thread wins. If we reach a deal via PM, I'll mark books SOLD in the thread as soon as reasonably possible - but if someone else takes the book in the thread before your PM take is acknowledged in the thread (by either you or I), the thread poster is the winner, I'm afraid; so, there is some risk of losing a book if you try to remain anonymous via PM. (Credit to EC Ed for these rules. I have adapted them with his permission) I kindly ask that you not Quote a book and then make a comment. It makes the book appear to be sold. Payment I'll take PayPal for total sales under $1000 if PayPal is your preferred method. Personal checks, or USPS money orders for total sales $1000 or higher. When the thread is over an invoice will be sent with PayPal address. I'll expect payment within 10 calendar days of invoice, or the book will be available for sale again (unless we've made other payment arrangements) Time payments are available for purchases of $2500 or more with 20% non-refundable deposit and installment payments so purchase is paid in full no later than 60 days. If monthly installments are more than 10 days late or payment is defaulted the 20% deposit will be retained by the seller but the rest of monies will be returned to the buyer and the sale will be nullified. Please PM to discuss time payment before taking the book in the thread. I reserve the right to not take time payments. Shipping Terms USA: $10 for raw and $18 for graded in any quantity. I ship USPS priority with signature required. I pack in Gemini boxes in a USPS legal flat rate envelope for raw books and a Med flat rate box for slabs. Please note the shipping prices are slightly higher than they used to be. It is costing a little more these days. Canada: $15 for raw and $25 for graded in any quantity. Overseas- Shipping at cost. I only ship overseas to established board members with references. I now only ship one time a week so please be patient as it could take up to 10 days to ship your purchase. Returns/Refunds General Policy: I will accept returns on raw books within 30 days of your receipt of the books, as long as the books are returned to me as they were when you received them. There are NO RETURNS on CGC graded books. I always accept returns on raw books within 6 months if I missed restoration or the CGC grade is more than 1 grade off (for example I call a raw book a 5.0 and it comes back a 4.5 -no return. If it comes back a 4.0 you can return the book if you want for a full refund plus your shipping to me).

The Books Over 50 books, half from Ricksneatstuff and half from Markentoth, all posted by me. I will denote each book with an (R) for me and an (M) for Markentoth. These will be all kinds of gold and atomic, mostly CGC graded PCH, sci-fi and good girl books with a couple war too. Markentoth's books are mostly under copies or books that he feels do not fit in his collection anymore. That being said there are still plenty of Top 3 graded copies and 1 or 2 highest graded. As I like to do I will end this thread with a pretty nice grail book that has not been offered here on the forum before. I know this thread is a bit of an experiment but I thought it would be fun to give the boardies a shot at these instead of going straight to the auction house. This is not a consignment thread- you will be paying the owner of the books directly from the invoice that is sent and we will be shipping to you directly. If you buy something from both of us the shipping charge will be split between us in the invoice so you will still only pay the same shipping total. Suspense Comics #11 (CGC 6.5 with off-white pages) $2945: SOLD Here we have probably the second most desirable Suspense Comics – the classic devil cover by L.B. Cole after issue #3. And if your name is Robert, you will be getting a personalized L.B. Cole inscription and if not, his signature none the less. This is a very difficult issue to obtain in FN or better condition. This cover is just gorgeous. No date stamps, no writing, no pencil/ink marks. Super structure with off-white pages. I had this recovered in May due to scuff marks on the old case. You need a clean case to bring out all the beauty in an L.B. Cole cover. Jack Crooks story, Maurice Whitman, Tony DiPreta, Rudy Palais and George Appel art. Published June 1946- 72-year anniversary this month. Suspense Comics #11 doesn’t come around for sale that often in this condition. Just a spectacular copy!

Thanks for looking; I plan about three dozen books in this thread, not all tonight, and many not so easy to find. There will be Golden Age Wonder Woman, LB Cole, plenty of pre-code romance, Betty & Veronica, some tough humor books, a book that is not in Gerber, and some DC silver and bronze, including a boardie cult classic. There will also freebies (low grade but scarce books). First in the thread wins, time stamp rules. Payment is money order or check only. Sorry but I do not have Paypal. No listy sorts. Shipping will be actual, U.S. Only. Usually runs between $4.50 for one book first class up to $13.60 for a medium size priority flat rate box. I use priority mail packages with cardboard sandwiches, or flip 'n ship comics mailers. I will use the most affordable method that allows me to pack securely and includes tracking. (Upstanding boardies outside the U.S. Who just gotta have it -- PM to discuss shipping, managing attendant risk, etc. We'll try.) Returns -- Sure, just notify me within three days of receipt, and get it back to me in the same condition you received it, on your dime. Unless I have missed something.
