With all the talk of runs vs keys, I've been thinking about what the most collectable SA Marvel run of say the first 20 or 30 issues would be. In some ways, it's a hybrid form of collecting as it's not solely focused on keys but also takes up less room than being a completist? For example, I love my early ASMs for the soap opera stories and Ditko art but they cost a lot in mid grade and there are lots of keys. On the other hand, JIM has great Kirby covers and prices are shockingly affordable. If you were starting out as a collector today, which main title from the early 60's would you put together? Where would you start and stop your run? What grade would you target?

So, have up almost a dozen pieces on eBay right now. Pages from Marvel and DC titles from the 80's and 90's, plus original art from The Tick. All at significantly lowered prices, making them very affordable (at least to anyone who isn't a tightwad cheapskate, which leave quite a few of you here out, doesn't it?). And for the slow of wit, remember that if you have an International address, or view through some mobile devices, you won't see them. I'd think this was common knowledge by now. Oh, and they end in less than four hours. So, no time to dilly-dally. These are from the one-shot "Spider-Man: Dead Man's Hand" and are done by artist Dan Lawlis (his only time drawing the character, in fact). PGM Silver Surfer 6 1st time submission I stumbled upon this gem at a local convention, then after checking it out at home realized its actually pretty nice, perhaps slab-worthy. I'm very curious as to what you guys think; I am very new to grading. Note: what looks like defects on mostly the black part on first scan, those are from the plastic sleeve.

Amazing Spider-Man #300 CGC 9.8 WHITE Hello everybody, "Take it" trumps any ongoing PM negotiations. That being said, feel free to message me as this is an OBO listing. My old boardie name was Tibex82 and I have had many transactions in the past with many of you. From a $5 book to a Hulk #181 or Avengers #1, I had a great kudos page which I will link to. GPA = 12 month ($1,294) 90 day ($1,611) last sale ($1800). Last eBay sale was within the hour for $1,999.95 This book has clearly been on the rise in 2017 and doesn't seem to be slowing down. The casting of Tom Hardy as Venom doesn't seem to be hurting things either. There is a crack in the top, right corner of the slab, but it does not at all effect the book. This is a beautiful 9.8 with sharp corners, tight and shiny staples, great color and wonderful gloss. I am including several pictures, but can take as many as needed upon request. This might sound odd but it occurred to me recently that there seems to be zero coca-cola ads in Marvel/DC comics. Not sure about moderns but from the 40s to the 80s I cannot find a single example of a coke advertisement in any Marvel/DC comic. Does anyone know the reason for this? If there are ads for coke could someone provide an example of an issue with them. I just find it odd because Coca-Cola has always been aggressive with their advertising. Any insight on this topic would be greatly appreciated.

Fantastic Four #48 regrade: pressing worth it? I just received this fantastic four #48 with a 4.0 cgc grade. Here are the grader notes: white pages crease right center of front cover breaks color crease right top of front cover breaks color finger bends cover multiple bend spine breaks color multiple crease back cover multiple crease left bottom of front cover breaks color multiple tape stain spine so my question is would a press and dry clean help some of the obvious creases and bends (and possible tape stains) enough to justify sending this in? If so what do you think a grade bump would be? thank you in advance.
