I went to one of my favorite shows of the year ... the Williamsburg Nostalgia Fest. My friend Gene, of All American Comics sets up and I took the liberty of taking a stack of cool books on consignment that don't often show up for sale. There will be a little GGA , PCH, CRIME, MOVIE, WESTERN, and TV books. Many are FILE copies or o/w higher grade. Just one book: Baffling Mysteries #8. A fantastic PCH cover by Frank Giusto, featuring the new "Queen of the Lizard Men"! This is a hard to find book in any kind of grade. I am currently hunting down these books and if anyone has any information or has a copy they want to sell I am very interested! Now here is some history on this book for the ones who care to know! Nights of Horror. And why it’s definitely one of my favorite books in my personal collection. Not because of its content but because of the sad and crazy story behind the person who illustrated it and the effects it had on society. Going broke, going blind, and struggling from losing the rights to Superman to DC, Joe Shuster started illustrating fetish comic books for money. These books were about situations of BDSM, bondage, torture, sexual slavery, and all that wild stuff. Most likely ashamed of the work he was doing, he did not sign any of his work and went by the alias “Clancy”. It was in 2004 when it was confirmed that Clancy was Joe Shuster. ANOTHER reason why this book is so cool is because of how RARE it is. Nights of Horror was used in the trial of the Brooklyn Thrill Killers where it was confirmed by one of the killers that Nights of Horror took a big part in who he became to be. The book was banned first in New York and when the trial moved to Supreme Court of the United States it upheld New York’s ban and approved their request to DESTROY every copy of Nights of Horror. So I wonder how many of these books still exist? But yea if anyone has one let me know! Or if you just want to share your own copy do so as well!

So this comic looks like the front half was cut off and reattached with tape. Bottom staple is barely holding the book together. I am really curious to see what you guys think this grade is.

A negotiation is not a deal until both sides have agreed on terms. If there is an unconditional posted (or communicated) it will trump all negotiations unless we have already both agreed to terms before the was posted. In that case, the will have been in vain. Except that it will give you street cred and look cool to passers by. No House Of Shame or Probationary members or any others of ill repute. Returns: I consider myself a fair and accurate grader and have been selling vintage comics form many years but since even CGC is inconsistent I will not guarantee a CGC grade. I will guarantee to be within one grade increment in either direction - so if I am calling the book a 9.4 it could go 9.2 or 9.6. If it falls outside of those parameters (and it does happen that they go in both directions), I will offer a refund. But I don't expect anyone to complain if I undergraded it.
