Hey everyone just got back into collecting the kid in me is loving this mostly cards and some comics found out Futurama made a comic series and I got these #1 and #2 bongo Futurama comics was wondering what you think these would get for a grade. I don't know much about grading yet but i know there's a few blemishes and was wondering how much they would affect the grade. Any advice is appreciated thank you!

Hello. I just sent an email across but wanted to post here as well. I recently submitted several cards to be graded. (I can supply order/submission number if that would help) Below are three issues I would like some assistance with: https://www.cgccards.com/certlookup/1401013075001/ This card received no grade and has no scans. Why? While this card is a bit scuffed up, it is a genuine one, and I paid to have it graded. Why is the grade and scan empty, and why does it also say Grade 0? https://www.cgccards.com/certlookup/1401013075003/ This card received a grade AA. Why was this done? This card is completely unaltered in every single way. I have extensively checked other listings and CGC-graded Sliver Queens for comparison for signs that this may be altered and cannot find anything substantial or obvious. This was sent by the individual who opened this in the original pack and he does not believe anything was ever done to alter it. https://www.cgccards.com/certlookup/1401013075002/ This card was entered as the incorrect name. While this was an error on the packing slip itself, it is baffling to me that no quality control was put in place to check and confirm even if the name of the card was correct - particularly given the 8-step process outlined here: https://www.cgccards.com/card-grading/grading-process/ I am looking forward to your response and resolution to these issues.

Hi there. Thanks for taking the time to read this. How much do missing pages/wraps the value/grade of a book? I bought a Seven Seas #4 maybe 12 years ago on the boards. Iirc it was missing 3 or 4 wraps. I’ve had no luck with the CGC search function (I could make a thread about that alone). I’ve changed my handle a few times over the years with each new email address. If anyone knows a better way to search here are a few details that may help: My old handles were RIP_ODB1 and Freeloading_Rusty. There could be another I forgot. This book was possibly from the collection of a beloved board member named Nik. I know I have his copy of Batman 251, the Seven Seas may have been from his collection as well. Thanks for your time. Jeremy

So I have a couple of questions regarding the new grading scale If I have a card that is 45/55 centering but everything else on the card is perfect, can it still get a pristine 10? Using the old sub grade scale, what “sub grades” would you need to achieve the new “gem mint 10”? What differentiates the new 9.5 from a gem mint 10?

Hi, Guys, I'm new to the world of comics. I recently bought the whole run of marvel godzilla online. I was planning to grade the whole run. I noticed color on one of the covers . It looks like someone colored some areas in. Could this be an printing error and the color has moved into other areas. Or has somone restored the book in an amiture way? I would hate to get a purple lable. Please let me know what you guys think 🤔

Hello! I hope your all having a good day today! I will be honest, I have been a collector for years and I've only recently thought about getting my cards graded, but this site is so confusing to me? I've been clicking around for a moment not but I truely can't seem to find a q&a area, or just a solid place to get an estimate on the pricing for cards? I saw that there was a bulk option for 25 graded cards, but then the economy didn't seem to have a minimum? Let's say I wanted to get 10 pokemon cards graded; what tier do I select? What would be the estimated price range? (No specific add ons really? I've got some bigger pulls but I don't really understand the add ons not do I think they're needed really?) And would anyone have advice on a good way to ship the cards? I've been using a penny sleeve and a top loader; will CGC have any issues will accepting something like that? I guess overall if y'all have any advice on this because I'm truely lost, or is there is a q&a section someone could point me towards that would be amazing!!! Thank you for your time and help, have a wonderful rest of your day today!!! Edit; When it mentions the value of the cards? That does mean ungraded yes? What if we really wouldn't be sure of the value, and if I were to choose the bulk option, does the value total have to be equal or less then the posted amount? Or is that per card?

Hey everyone! So I'm pretty new to collecting physical comics, and so far I have 69 (haha I know funny number) wildly different books. Some DC, some Marvel, some Image. Some are Batman, some are Spiderman, some are Avengers, some are Justice League, some are Warlock, and some... well, you get the picture. I currently have 3 BCW shortboxes in order to prep and have enough space to begin storing. The question I've encountered though, is how should I start storing them? I don't want to just group them all together now then have to dentangle them later. Should I go alphabetically? Should I go by publisher? By character? What do you guys reccomend?

I have a missing submission in the the "My Submissions" section of my account. I have two outstanding submissions, one has been marked as "Grading / Encapsulation / Imaging" and the other has been marked as in CCS as I'm having it pressed first. However when I checked today that CCS submission has completely disappeared from the site (the last time I checked was in mid May). It's the weekend so I can't call anyone until Monday and I'm kinda freaking out, has this ever happened to anyone before? I'm really hoping it's just a site error as it's Miles' First Appearance issue. edit: if it helps any I submitted this comic back in Oct 2021, its been stuck in CCS for a long time I assume because of the huge backlog

Hello I recently purchased these cards and want to submit to CGC however I have no idea if they are actually gradable by CGC. There is the front of 3 cards and one picture features what the back looks like. Thank you!

Does "show drop off" mean it will not be delivered to my house? I have an associate membership but it says I would need to upgrade to send it in.

I’ve been a long time fan of venom. I bought his first comic and the first appearance of carnage when they came out, both still pristine. I’ve always wanted Venom’s first appearance but couldn’t afford the price when I was younger, and then I forgot about comics all together until recently. Now I see it and wonder if I will ever have a chance at buying a 9.8 at a lower price if I wait. Been looking for Stan and Todd signed 9.6s on eBay as well but the prices are going up so fast. Just not sure I want to splurge 4k. Still a lot of money for me although I could swing it. What do you guys think?

I have a Holo Pokemon card with a swirl. A holo swirl does bump the price a bit. Should I indicate the swirl under Pedigree or Variant 2?

Will CGC insert a COA with the comic to be encapsulated together on request?

I have the comic the maxx 1/2. There are four versions of this comic book purple foil, gold foil, red foil, and blue foil logo (on the cover). Mine does not have any foil logo on the cover. I had just got this back from cgc and they labeled it manufactured without purple foil logo. And I'm assuming they put it in the census under the category purple foil logo. I was wondering why this comic book would be labeled under the purple foil logo because it does not have any foil on it whatsoever. My first question is how could cgc possibly know that it was the purple foil version of this comic book? My second question is shouldn't it be in the category the maxx 1/2 and in the sub category titled manufactured without foil logo? Right now it's in the subcategory purple foil logo. How do I get this corrected and have a in its own category labeled manufactured with no foil logo? I've seen other comic books with a similar manufacturing error like venom lethal protector number one there is a Black version and a white version. Both these versions are missing foil on the cover like mine. And they both have their own category in the census. I would think this comic book also deserves to have its own category am I correct in saying this?

So I recently received a Marvel Special Edition Star Wars #1 and I am wondering if I can get it graded. It is fairly large measuring at about 10 inches wide by 13 inches tall is this a grade able size.

I don't have the slab in hand so I can't measure: is the comic just smaller than the typical modern size, so it fits in the slab funny? I've never seen something like this before. Apparently it's in a standard-sized CGC slab, and it looks like it's seated inside the inner well for the comic, even if that inner well appears far too wide.

Hi folks, this is my first post of probably many as I've just come into some old comics. I've searched the internet high and low trying to get information about this supplement from a newspaper called New York Star that only seemed to exist for two years. The main question I guess is, is this considered a marvel golden age comic. It seems to be Sub-mariner #28, except with a different cover and minus two ad pages which was released in Oct '48, this being Jan '49. It contains: Three sub-mariner stories (a case of the king's ransom/kids! Kids! Kids!/crime makes the writer) and a Blonde Phantom story (the test of fear). The first panel of every story has a code, being SL-3323, 3522, 3382 and 3562. There is also a two page story titled 'Imagination' with the code SL-3125. On the front cover is art by Frank Frollo. Also included is a full page ad for a 25c beanie copter, a sub-mariner quiz page (3718), a page showing two half page ads, one being for a Simplex Portable Typewriter for $2.98 and a Juke box bank for $1.98, and a back page ad for the new York star newspaper. Every inside page is in colour. So my questions are does this count as a marvel golden age, is it some kind of rare variant find, is it worth grading, does the SL stand for Stan Lee, anything you can tell me would be gratefully recieved. Also, if I was to grade it, is there such a thing as trimming the cover? It overhangs by about 4mm on the outer edge and doing so would drastically increase its presentation. I have more comics with questions so this probably won't be my last post. Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone, I hope everyone is safe and well. Is this possible... Can I submit a comic for the CGC In-House Private Signing with seminal X-Men writer Chris Claremont and then while my comic is still at CGC have it submitted for the Jim Shooter CGC In-House Private Signing. I ask cause I might not receive the comic back in time for me to submit it to the Jim Shoot signing. Has anybody done this before? If this is possible how would I do it? Thanks.

I found this stuffed in one of my old Rolling Stone magazines from when I was a kid. Does anyone know what it’s from?
