I don't really want to sell this as it is pretty special to me, but I want to be responsible and pay off some debt! I have for sale, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #1, First Print. It is a CGC SS 9.0 signed and sketch on cover by Kevin Eastman. It is also signed on the inside cover by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird. I got this signed by Kevin at the Calgary Expo when he was there. He said at the time, that the signatures inside were likely signed at the Portsmouth Mini-con in 1984 where they were signing and giving these away! Also included is the custom frame I had made for this book as shown in the pictures below. This one is hard to price as everyone knows. The most recent 9.0 sale was back in May at $4500. A 9.2 sold in April for $5999. However, some more recent sales in August of lower grades (8.0-8.5 selling in the $4200-4500 range) show that this is no longer a very accurate price. Thus I have arrived at what I believe to be a fair and good deal for this book. Price is $5300 USD shipped to the U.S. and Canada. You may or may not agree with the price, that is up for you to decide. I am willing to entertain offers, but nothing insulting please! Feel free to PM me. First on the threads trumps all background negotiations. There will be no returns accepted for this book. I accept Paypal or Electronic Funds Transfer. I am willing to deal in Canadian Funds with fellow Canadians and you may be able to squeeze a bit of a deal out of me as it is cheaper to ship within Canada! Newbie autograph question...If I purchase an already signed comic from the publisher (in this case the new "John Wick" signed by author Greg Pak), would it be in my best interest to attempt to have the comic signed by the artist (Giovanni Valletta) and witnessed by a CGC rep prior to CGC submission? I've got no idea if the Greg Pak signature comic is part of a "limited edition" or if there's any sort of authentication from publisher Dynamite. Also, since I'm on the John Wick subject...any thoughts on purchasing the variant covers? I hate the variant cover concept, but the second variant of Issue #1 looks great. -

I've done a bit of searching for information on Brian Holguin and I keep coming up short. It seems he is fairly reclusive. He was a writer on Spawn for many issues. I'd like to get his signature witnessed. Does anyone have any leads or own any Spawn books with his signature? I've seen a signature series book with his signature, so I know someone has gotten him at some point. PM or respond here. Thanks! -Shane

I'm new to CGC and really I'm new to the whole grading concept and how CGC puts "yellow labels" on books. I think I have it figured out for the most part but my question is. Will CGC put a yellow label on a comic that was not witnessed but was only distributed with signatures already on the book? For example I have Chew #1 RI it is a Retail incentive variant. It looks like the video game variant however it has a white bottom with both of the artist name printed on the lower part of the comic book with their signatures above their names on each side with a picture of a bald chicken between John and Robs signature. Again Image only realeased this particular comic variant signed by both artist and writer. So my question is, if I submit this for grading would I get a Yellow label? A Red label? Or a Green label? like I said I know CGC has made exceptions in the past with giving books a yellow label without witnessing the signature (I.e The Walking Dead 100 "Lucille Variant) if any anybody knows or would like to tell me their opinion or experience I would love to hear it. Walking Dead 100 CGC SS Signed 2X I have a couple CGC graded Signature Series Walking Dead issue 100 2nd and 3rd printings, signed 2X by Kirkman and Adlard...listed on ebay. http://www.ebay.com/sch/matth41620/m.html?item=302349945526&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562 3rd Printing 9.8 - according to the CGC census, this is the highest grade for this printing are only 15 signature series at this grade...even fewer have both Kirkman and Adlard. 2nd Printing 9.6 I am excepting reasonable offers.
