Vancouver (BC) Comic and Toy Show returns Sunday October 24, 2021 to the Pacific National Exhibition (PNE) at Hastings and Renfrew Streets at FULL capacity. Family fun at a comic book centric show (golden age to modern comics, mags, graphic novels, some artwork) plus toys, action figures, Funko Pop and cosplay too. Giant-size hourly door prizes of 3 x $100 gift cards and 3 x $50 gift cards plus more (Toy Traders warehouse bucks) to be handed out. 200 8 foot dealer's tables already sold. I have a copy of "The Amazing Spider-Man" issue 365. It has now flaws anywhere except for inside the book where it has printing gripping holes on several pages. Does CGC deduct for this, and if so how much? I'm new to all of this and don't want to submit it if they'll only give me an 8 or 8.5. Thanks

Hey again all, time to sell more comics for a friend - this time to help him raise money to repair the air conditioner in his car - THESE DEALS WILL BE HOT SO HE AND HIS KIDS WON'T BE I previously sold many of his keys here, so if you remember those deals you should expect more of the same good stuff. He lives out of province from me so while I wasn't able to inspect the issues personally I've had him take lots of pictures of each issue so that it will be very easy for you all to see the conditions - there are pretty much low to mid grade raw books and will price them so they are affordable and account for anything we might have missed. All issues are complete, and unless otherwise obvious from pics covers and wraps are all firmly attached to the staples - basically the only faults with these issues will be shown in the photos. If you require additional photos for a book just PM me, as I have not posted all the images (spine details, corners) as I feel these shots will give you enough information to make a judgement call. Please no hall of shamers or probies. We will ship anywhere in North America, and I only accept Pay Pal (though will consider e-transfer for fellow Canadians). Good Evening Everyone, I just received my book back from CGC. Came back as a 9.8. Signed and Remarked by Tyler. One signature by Tyler is in Manuscript and the other signature is incursive. Did he sign it twice because of the incursive signature not being seen? Either way it goes, I love it!

Hello, I'm new on this forum but I'm a long-time collector of (primarily) Spider-man and X-men comics since the '90s. I have an extensive collection of bronze and copper age comics of these series' but only more recently have my interests started to seriously turn towards the Silver Age so I'm trying to learn as much about it as I can. I of course have been doing and plan on continuing to do my own research on this era of comics but I was curious what people's thoughts here are on collecting low-grade copies and possibly even low grade purple label copies of things like AF 15, ASM 1, or X-Men 1 which to me (and I know for many others) are kind of "grail" comics to own in most any condition. Just looking at eBay prices and sold listings there is quite a bit of data for blue labels in all sorts of varying grades but I feel a bit confused when considering purple labels and how they're priced. I understand this varies greatly on what kind of restoration was done and how much, but just as an example, I see in sold listings for restored a- 7.0 Purple label Amazing Spider-man #1 with "Moderate B-3. color touch, pieces added, tear seals, cleaned, reinforced, re-glossed, top-edge of cover trimmed" which sold for just about $10,000. A restored 5.0 with "Slight B-1. Small amount of color touch on cover, tear seals to cover and interior" sold for $9,000 And a restored 3.0 "Moderate C-3. colour touch, pieces added." sold for $6,000 which is the very lowest I can find in sold before getting into 0.5s with missing covers or pages and such. Just to contrast, I see a 1.5 blue label with it's front cover re-attached with tape that sold for nearly $7,000, a 4.0 blue label with no noted problems went for $14,000 and a 7.0 blue label with no noted problems went for $30,000. and just because I thought it interesting, a 1.8 blue label is currently at auction for $4,000 with 4 days left. I suppose I'm trying to understand what the price correlation is for these megakeys between restored and unrestored are, and whether certain restoration notes are more acceptable than others. How much *should* one spend on a low-grade purple label vs a low-grade blue label? Like that 3.0 which went for 6k. Is that a decent price for such a copy? Would that then mean it's comparable to say, a 1.0 blue label? And as far as I'm able to tell, would it be correct to say that 6-7k seems to be the floor right now for a complete ASM #1? Also, I'm a little surprised that 7.0 was graded a 7.0 with trimming as I would imagine that's far more destructive to the book than most anything else, or am I wrong? There does seem to be extensive restoration work on that book. I would imagine that the least amount of restoration would be better but perhaps the prices don't reflect that? I personally am not bothered with purple labels for the most part when it comes to these sort of megakeys and for some of them, like AF 15, they might be the only real viable entry point to owning a copy for myself and others just now venturing into the Silver Age world. I would appreciate any sort of help, clarification, advice, or even just commentary and opinions on this topic. It's been really fascinating to read and learn about all that goes into grading these highly sought-after comics. I hope to acquire at least one of these megakeys in the near-future and I'm just trying to learn as much as I can and be as informed as I can. Thanks. -

I have to raise my prices too much there or lose money, and their new system of categorization is frustrating, as is their endless tinkering that makes me update "policies" just to select shipping prices appropriate to the item. No more! Because of that, I'll be listing my CGCs here. I will endeavor to provide photos (allow me a couple days to list them here and take them down from eBay). The hardcovers, trades and other stuff is over there still (am I allowed to say you can message me here about those to make a deal?). But most of my CGCs...here! And because they're here, that means, at a minimum, the price is decreased compared to how I priced them on eBay by as little as 10%, give or take, but often 12% or more. I'd like to see long box after long box disappear from my place over the next year before I head overseas again, but hopefully before then. These prices are in U.S. dollars and are the minimum price - please don't ask me to go below that amount as I'm already keeping most at cost just to keep stock flowing out of my home. A little sticker residue on the case as you can see in the pictures. Fugitoid #1, CGC 9.4 with off-white to white pages. Wraparound cover. Old label (not as old as the ASM) and a larger/deeper case. Purchased this off the boards, got it pressed and sent to CGC. A little scratching around the top front of the case and the book jiggles a bit. For some reason I think these bigger cases aren't that great. Price ASM #252 - Asking $650. Last GPA was $625, 90 day average $430. There are 4 9.6's Newsstands on the 'Bay for between $900 and $1000. Fugitoid #1 - Asking $200. Last GPA was $220, 90 day average $176. There are a couple on the 'Bay for $220 and $240 respectively. This seems to be primarily a traveling Marvel original art and movie props exhibit that originated at Museum of Pop Culture, Seattle, WA (search for previous pics) and now in Chicago, IL running to the end of Oct, 2021. $18 general admission but daytime entry selling out due to Marvel popularity, social distancing. Thus, they have added evening admission. Highly recommended, as prime original published comic book cover art, splashes, and props generously loaned by the biggest USA collectors and comic dealers.
