Welcome to my APRIL 2018 Pre-Sale thread----lots of great stuff to announce as we roll through the month. This is a month with many landmark moments in comic book history--Amazing Spider-Man #800, The Hunt for Wolverine (and all those variants), plus a number of rare signings coming up with Doug Moench, Joe Giella, Mike Royer, Tom Mandrake, and more---keep checking my "taking subs for--" thread in the "Announcements" sub-forum of the Signature Room. As with all my previous monthly pre-sale threads, all books are pre-screened and culled from the finest 9.8 candidates. The costs associated with each post is indicative of all expenses from cost of book, my time, any signature related fees, any pressing that may need to be introduced to bring it from borderline 9.6 to a full blown 9.8, shipping costs anywhere USA door to door, CGC invoicing fees, etc. I'll be posting ops for books that are physically in hand and pre-screened for 9.8 standards, as well as posting for books that may not have shipped yet, but because due to limitations of availability, I always need to get my orders in EARLY so as to ensure that I have enough for everyone, as well as some extra either for inventory or to make sure that everyone gets exactly what they ordered.  My goal is to deliver 9.8 graded signature series books, prices listed inclusive of all costs associated with the op right down to shipping. Prices associated with each post is all inclusive of all costs right down to shipping anywhere USA.  Outside the U.S., I charge additional based on weight of the box. I've been asked "Can you guarantee a 9.8?" I can guarantee that I won't be shipping you out a 9.6 , if that helps answer that question.  I'm not a professional grader (meaning I don't get paid to grade, but I've got a really good eye), and I've been doing this for 15+ years and I'm pretty good at what I do.  My reputation speaks for itself. That being said, anything can happen----a book could get damaged, a box lost, it's not an exact science but I am more than happy to grant full refunds if you're not satisfied or you can return the book.  If anything goes wrong on my end, I'll call you directly to discuss which way you want to roll----credit, a discount, a different book or a full refund. There is just ONE (1) addendum that I want to throw out there----and that's special requests. I have no problem at all with special requests-----if you see something is coming up and you want me to try and work it, just LMK. Just because it's not in my thread, doesn't mean I can't/won't do it. It's just that it may not be something I am looking at. One other notation about special requests, is that sometimes I am asked to add special additional things  to a book you're interested in from the pre-sale thread. For example, a remark, or an additional signature.  I don't typically have a return policy for pre-sales since you are requesting an item/order specific with full disclosure of what you will be receiving.  However, you are either 100% satisfied or we work together until you are! As many of you know, Stan Lee has been getting older and as such signing opportunities are getting more rare. And getting books signed that are eligible for CGC Signature Series Grading is becoming more difficult. The exact date of this signing has not been determined BUT it WILL take place in May. This is NOT a convention signing. Desert Wind has been authorized to announce accepting books and will accept books up to the submission deadline, so submit now so you don't get caught by surprise and miss the signing. The price to get a book signed and CGC graded is $165.00 for a modern tier. That price includes grading of a modern tier book, our witnessing and handling fee and Stan’s signing fee. It does NOT include return shipping or the CGC $5.00 form fee. Please refer to the Celestial-comics.com website for other grading tiers and costs such as shipping and fast track fees. You must fill out a Celestial-Comics submission form found on our website to submit with any books submitted. There is NO limitations to the number of books submitted. If you wish to submit under your own CGC please contact Sharon. Books for these signings can get additional signatures on them depending on shows and other private signings that take place. Hello everybody !! I've been toying with the idea of getting a nice KEY book this year. Vacillating a bit between ASM 1 and X-Men 1. I want both. I saw this nice looking (to me) restored copy of ASM 1 in CGC restored 8.0 today. "Restoration includes : Color touch, pieces added,tear seals, cleaned, reinforced" It's a nice looking book for the price. It was slabbed way back in 2002, so it has the designation of "Apparent VF 8.0 Moderate P" Which would probably be equivalent to A2/3 or B2/3. One nice thing for a restored book is that it does NOT have the cover re-glossed. The price is 9250. (+250 shipping) Fine 8.0 in Overstreet PriceGuide 47 lists it at 17000.00. That works out to 55% the price of an 8.0. Seems like a decent deal and I would be holding for a few years at least. My friends over at Comiclink usually do a great job of listing my consigned artwork in their upcoming auctions but this page might slip through the cracks as it is listed under penciler Alex Saviuk .Saviuk did a great job penciling this but what makes this page very special is the characters , with money shots of Marvel heroes Spider-man and Iron Man and great action as they battle each other .On top of that the page is written and signed by Stan Lee and inked and signed by Joe Sinnott. So that’s Spider-man,Iron Man, Stan Lee ,and Joe Sinnott .That’s just about everything that made the Marvel Universe great (with the exception of Kirby) on one great page. Welcome to my MARCH 2018 Pre-Sale thread----lots of great stuff to announce as we roll through the month. This is a month with many landmark moments in comic book history---Action Comics hits it's 1000th issue, Amaz. SM #800 is creeping up on us, as is Captain America #700---and all sorts of variant covers. As with all my previous monthly pre-sale threads, all books are pre-screened and culled from the finest 9.8 candidates. The costs associated with each post is indicative of all expenses from cost of book, my time, any signature related fees, any pressing that may need to be introduced to bring it from borderline 9.6 to a full blown 9.8, shipping costs anywhere USA door to door, CGC invoicing fees, etc. I'll be posting ops for books that are physically in hand and pre-screened for 9.8 standards, as well as posting for books that may not have shipped yet, but because due to limitations of availability, I always need to get my orders in EARLY so as to ensure that I have enough for everyone, as well as some extra either for inventory or to make sure that everyone gets exactly what they ordered. My goal is to deliver 9.8 graded signature series books, prices listed inclusive of all costs associated with the op right down to shipping. Prices associated with each post is all inclusive of all costs right down to shipping anywhere USA. Outside the U.S., I charge additional based on weight of the box. I've been asked "Can you guarantee a 9.8?" I can guarantee that I won't be shipping you out a 9.6 , if that helps answer that question. I'm not a professional grader (meaning I don't get paid to grade, but I've got a really good eye), and I've been doing this for 15+ years and I'm pretty good at what I do. My reputation speaks for itself. That being said, anything can happen----a book could get damaged, a box lost, it's not an exact science but I am more than happy to grant full refunds if you're not satisfied or you can return the book. If anything goes wrong on my end, I'll call you directly to discuss which way you want to roll----credit, a discount, a different book or a full refund. There is just ONE (1) addendum that I want to throw out there----and that's special requests. I have no problem at all with special requests-----if you see something is coming up and you want me to try and work it, just LMK.
