About Me

  1. New listing ASM 252 9.8 white 5x signed including Stan Lee (in 2012) John Romita Brett Bretting Tom Defalco Ron Frenz. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Amazing-Spider-man-252-CGC-9-8-WHITE-5x-signed-STAN-LEE-JOHN-ROMITA-/273236725654
  2. I’ve seen copies of a variant rise of the black panther 1 for sale on ebay stamped with Stan Lee’s solvent dna ink. I know copies exist with blue and gold ink stamps. The Avengers Station in Vegas was selling them before they stopped all sales. About $250 for the blue and $500 for the gold. I’ve seen a copy on eBay with a black ink stamp. Didn’t know that was even available. Is that supposed to be valued more or less than the blue or gold?
  3. As many of you know, Stan Lee has been getting older and as such signing opportunities are getting more rare. And getting books signed that are eligible for CGC Signature Series Grading is becoming more difficult. The exact date of this signing has not been determined BUT it WILL take place in May. This is NOT a convention signing. Desert Wind has been authorized to announce accepting books and will accept books up to the submission deadline, so submit now so you don't get caught by surprise and miss the signing. The price to get a book signed and CGC graded is $165.00 for a modern tier. That price includes grading of a modern tier book, our witnessing and handling fee and Stan’s signing fee. It does NOT include return shipping or the CGC $5.00 form fee. Please refer to the Celestial-comics.com website for other grading tiers and costs such as shipping and fast track fees. You must fill out a Celestial-Comics submission form found on our website to submit with any books submitted. There is NO limitations to the number of books submitted. If you wish to submit under your own CGC please contact Sharon. Books for these signings can get additional signatures on them depending on shows and other private signings that take place. Please contact Desert Wind regarding getting additional signatures on the book prior to Stan’s signing. We look forward to helping customers to get their books signed by Stan. We started the Stan CGC signings back in 2008 and are super excited to be able to continue this signing for fans and collectors alike. Please send all emails questions to Sharon@celestial-comics.com. The mail-in submission deadline for this signing is May 4th. My friends over at Comiclink usually do a great job of listing my consigned artwork in their upcoming auctions but this page might slip through the cracks as it is listed under penciler Alex Saviuk .Saviuk did a great job penciling this but what makes this page very special is the characters , with money shots of Marvel heroes Spider-man and Iron Man and great action as they battle each other .On top of that the page is written and signed by Stan Lee and inked and signed by Joe Sinnott. So that’s Spider-man,Iron Man, Stan Lee ,and Joe Sinnott .That’s just about everything that made the Marvel Universe great (with the exception of Kirby) on one great page. This might be the best page from this strip that I have ever seen.So check it out below and perhaps throw a bid in here: http://www.comiclink.com/Auctions/allsub.asp?Focused=1&id=1398&Artist=ALEX SAVIUK BTW, that auction ends 5/3 and the Puppet Master is also included !
  5. Hello all, hoping someone can help me here - my friend has a copy of Iron Man #1 1968, CGC Signature Series 6.5 with Stan Lee's signature. He wants to sell it to me for $800; I love Iron Man and used to collect a bunch of this series' comics but have no idea if this is a good price/investment or not. From looking at Go Collect Comics and eBay, they seem to range in value from $620-750. Do you think I should buy this? Is this a good price/investment? Thoughts? Thank you so much in advance!

  7. Hey everyone, you may know me as comicbooks22 from instagram. Relatively new to the boards. i wanted to start a thread dedicated to the mess that was Silicon Valley Comic Con 2018. Please see my instagram and for details, and sound off here.
  8. Hey guys so i just wanted to start out by saying I don't HATE Stan lee signature and I'd be a hypocrite to say I don't like th because I have met him myself and had a few books signed by him in the past and have been happy with the results but seriously guys understand he's 95 and has admitted his eye sight is not the best throw in the fact that people throw thousands of books at him a day does not help and with that being said I will say I don't think it's stan's fault and actually the people who expect him to do so much at his age fault. Anyways let me get to my point, I love going on eBay and just checking out books signed by him seeing some (most) that I can't stand to see and a few which I find look nice with his signature on them. i have gathered some of the worst stan sigs starting from bad to generally heart stopping and not ina good way. Now with all this being said let me start, 1. I'm going to start out with some light ones, these are not bad but why would anyone want these books to be signed in these colors! They don't look good, not to mention that I would never have stan sign a hulk 181but oh well 2. Next are once again not horrible but these made me cringe because these people were expecting to get $10,000 for the TOS 39 with no certification at all not even stan's certificate, 3. Now it's starts getting bad, stan is infamous for signing on comic cover charchters faces and these are just bad... but wait until the final one... 1. It's a bad picture but... what can be seen talks for itself ? 2. Luckily this is on a reprint but it's not pleasant either also once again I've never been a fan of getting stan to sign a book like this where he did not write edit or do anything about it 3. The next three will slowly get worse... this one is luckily a reprint but still... at least not on the face though 4. Yikes!!! On the face!! A reprint though so not Horrible 5. ?????? these emojis talk for themselves on my feelings for his monstrosity... ps if you couldn't tell this is NOT a reprint and it's is an ASM 1 9.4 6. I don't get this... And the final two are puke worthy so get out your puke bags out... 7. Wow... just wow... (this is in a bad way) 8. Here it goes this book gets the crown of being the very worse stan lee signature to ever face the planet... I can't imagine the guys face when he saw his book be grabbed by Stan and fatally killed... and thats it it for some of the worse stan sigs ever. In conclusion stop getting him to ruin books it's not worth it at this point maybe 10 years ago it would of beeen but today no... i persanly prefer him signing on the first page show us any that you guys find I would love to see more anyways let's just bring out the fact that not every book he signs comes out bad and some actually look nice for example these two hopefully these calm your nerves a little... Sorry for the ft 5 on the list again it does not let me delete it... just ignore it

  13. Hi, are any CGC facilitators going to be at an upcoming Stan Lee appearances like Wizard World Cleveland? I'm looking to mail-in a book for the yellow label. Thanks!
  14. I would like to slab a stan lee cgc ss at Comic Con Asia 2018 but have been unable to find out if cgc is there--can anyone tell me if they will facilitate there ? Thanks

IMO, they're being signed by the same hand as this familiar seller, also with 3 to a dozen spurious Lee signatures closing every few days, mostly for $25.00 on similar bargain box dreck. Only problem is, though by the same hand, that hand is not Stan Lee's. Compare to Tonfulle-84's spurious Stan Lee signatures: https://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=tonfulle-84&ftab=AllFeedback https://www.ebay.com/sch/tonfulle-84/m.html?_trksid=p3692 How can they let them go so cheap!
  16. Hi everyone. I'm sending this out to CGC to get pressed and graded. I purchased this around 1981 at Mike's Comic Hut in Queens, NY What do you guys think the grade from CGC will be? Thanks!
  17. I realize that when slabbing comics there is a special slab for "signed" copies. Of course, with all the forgeries in collectables they won't certify a signature unless it's witnessed by them personally. And that makes total sense. However, I have something unusual and I'm wondering how it would or could be properly slabbed and graded if I sent it in. I have a Marvel Treasury Edition #1 "The Spectacular Spider-Man" from 1974. It's an oversize reprint comic book. However, when this came out I think it was one of the first of it's kind because there was a coupon in the regular comic books you could fill out and send in $5 and get an autographed copy signed by Stan Lee and John Romita. Being just a little boy I didn't have the $5 so I filled out the coupon and mailed it in to Madison Ave with a note saying I didn't have $5 but I did have the cover price of $1.50. I sent in a dollar bill with two quarters taped to it and included a note asking for just a copy of the regular edition without the signatures because I didn't have $5. However, in the mail I got a large manila envelope and inside was a signed copy. Stan Lee's and John Romita's signature was on it. It was one of 1000 numbered copies they just sent to me anyway. It was a bit dog eared and imperfect from flopping around in the mail. It was mailed just loose in the envelope. This one is today in much better condition that the older comics I bought off the spinner rack in the supermarket, but not mint condition. I'd say Fine-Very Fine in that ballpark. The defects are just from the original mailing. Read once and put away. How would they grade something like that? "Apparently signed"? "Purportedly signed?" "The words 'Stan Lee and John Romita' are written in cursive on front cover"? How does that work? Is it a defect or what?
  18. I was wondering if there is any con or private signing Stan Lee will be doing either the rest of 2017 or 2018 that we can send comics to to have signed and CGC'd and have sent back to Canada? Thanks everyone.
  19. Hey guys just wanted to get rid of some books as I need the money right now so sadly I have to sell my few Stan lee sigs, these I have bought three different seller through out the years and though I have personally met Stan I would never give the sigs I got away as those are too special to me, so is it risky I don't know there not CGC SS but some of them look like his older sig (the neater legible ones) in a few of the books he signed in a horrible place but still neat pieces I have compared these to others and they don't look that far off but you be the Judge here they are 1.where creatures roam 3 signed by Stan on first splash page in blue pen nice sig 2.marvel team up annual 4 has a big hole in bottom and sig goes into a black surface which makes the last two e hard to read but still very nice sig 3. Amazing Spider-Man poster I don't know if is the original as I have never seen that one before nice Stan sig in spideys leg legible and nice now to the bad ones 4. X- men deluxe 48 signed by Stan right In the black!!!! ???? still a nice legible signature if looked up closely and the important part is it's there 5.this one is just weird but cool in the same time it's a coverless modern age book!!!! I have no idea what issue it is and don't know if it's just missin the first wrap or the cover or what ever it's just strange but Stan did sign it why did he sign it I have no idea but it is a Stan sig anyways the guy who sold me it was beyond disbelieve too but I guess you can tell your friends you have a coverless modern age marvel book that is signed by stan asking price $295 shipped i mean I actually paid more than that but I end the money and fast really cool none the less and hey for anyone who wants to own some cool stan sigs even if someone them are "less" than cool thanks

  21. Dear all Hi.I am a new member of this forum. My motivation to join this community was my lack of knowledge regarding the "art" pieces linked to comics. I am a Marvel collector as my father was. Me being 40 and my dad 66, means i have inherited loads of comics some of them in imaculate condition, some showing the wear of time. To me and the comic community of my country are very valuable since it was not a common thing for a boy in Greece, in the 60s and 70s to seek out comic books in English....! Anyway, to the point....I am in a business trip in Asia and trying to close a deal, finally Job is done and while having a business dinner, a guy of the opposite party explains to me about his Marvel Comic Covers giclee collection that wants to sell. 10 pieces of art he said. They are all canvas giclees of variant covers signed by Stan Lee . Captain America, Hulk, Thor, The Avengers,Spiderman, Iron Man all in variant comic covers. He sustains that the above mentioned items were exhibited in the Halcyon Gallery. My question to all you specialists is wether such a buy has sense or not. By sense, i mean following. As everybody knows Stan's signature is long from rare anymore ( that does not make it insignificant though ) and there has been always a big discussion if the variant covers should be of a bigger value or are they just a trick to "pull up" the prices. And last but not least, after a whole night research post to the dinner discussion, i had seen such canvases with the original cover around 2500,- english pounds in galleries throughout the UK, while this guy paid 11 to 14,000 euros for some of them and 24000 for a Thor , Avengers and Spiderman (each) canvas. Of course all are one out of 9 pieces or sth like that. How should someone argument these prices. Are there any others out there that came across such a thing. I thought that my query could fit in here since i am really tempted to get a couple of his canvas collection.( one for 24k and one for 14k). Any thoughts of help about that....Thank you all in advanceChrysaetos

  23. Hello Everyone, This is my first post so I apologise if I haven't followed the rules, just let me know and I'll amend. I am looking for a Stan Lee signed SS CGC The Amazing Spider man #21 (the issue with the beetle and the human torch) to compliment an original sketch I own from that comic. If anyone has one they are ready to part with or know how I could search for and obtain this piece It would be very much appreciated. I'm new to this world so any advice would be welcome. Looking forward to hearing from you.
