NEW SIGNING ADDED FOR JULY 1ST.... As many of you know, Stan Lee has been getting older and as such signing opportunities are getting more rare. And getting books signed that are eligible for CGC Signature Series Grading is becoming more difficult. The date of this signing has been set for beginning of July. This is NOT a convention signing. Desert Wind has been authorized to announce accepting books and will accept books up to the submission deadline, so submit now so you don't get caught by surprise and miss the signing. The price to get a book signed and CGC graded is $175.00 for a modern tier. That price includes grading of a modern tier book, our witnessing and handling fee and Stan’s signing fee. It does NOT include return shipping or the CGC $5.00 form fee. Please refer to the Celestial-comics.com website for other grading tiers and costs such as shipping and fast track fees. You must fill out a Celestial-Comics submission form found on our website to submit with any books submitted. There is NO limitations to the number of books submitted. If you wish to submit under your own CGC please contact Sharon. Books for these signings can get additional signatures on them depending on shows and other private signings that take place. People, I have something to ask. How valuable are the Marvel Milesstone versions of the key comics from Marvel during the Silver to Bronze with Stan Lee's signature go for? For example, can "The Avengers #4 : Milestone edition" or "Marvel secret wars #8 : Milestone edition" go for like $100-$999 or a Premium $1000-$4,999? I mean "The Avengers #4" can go for over $1000 with Stan Lee's signature because it's a key comic and he was the writer too. -

It's been a few years since I've been on the boards but work and family are mostly settled and I have time to think about comics again. It's great to see that the boards are even more active and alive today than before and I'm happy to see that many of the members that I knew from before are still around. Surely, comics as a hobby must be growing every day. With all of the incredible movies and TV shows available to watch, it's a great time to be a comics fan! First, a few rules: I will accept checks or money orders (both of which must clear) or PayPal (buyer is responsible for any fees; books will not be shipped while fees are outstanding). Please, no HOS or Probationers. The buyer has seven days from the day of receipt to inspect purchases and books must be returned in exactly the same condition as when they were shipped. Buyer is responsible for return shipping costs. Any number of raw books will be a flat $7 shipping in the continental US. Slabbed books will be $15 for one to three books and exact shipping for more than that (also in the continental US). I'm happy to ship anywhere else the law allows for exact shipping costs. Insurance is not included but may be recommended as I can't be responsible for books after they're mailed. (Domestic shipping might be adjusted up or down after I learn what rules the post office plays by these days.) You're welcomed and encouraged to PM me with offers but the first unconditional in the thread gets it. You know..., the usual rules. My very first comic book was Thor #282. My stepdad got it for me when I was 5 going on 6 in April 1979. I was fascinated with the stories of Asgard and continued collecting Thor until I joined the Army January 5th, 1993. A lot of my collection was lost except for Thor #282. I started back up collecting comics in the Summer of 2000. Last year I sent my beloved book in to CGC to get pressed and graded. It came back a 9.0. I was very happy with the grade considering how long I have had that book in my possession.

I sent in a CBCS Thor book I acquired off eBay 10/22/2016. It was a 3.5. It came back today from CGC and had a new grade of 4.0. Very pleased with the new grade.
