This sale will include approximately 36 Golden Age comics, most are CGC graded, a few are not. I plan to list 6 books per night from my collection, skipping Sat night, until I'm done. Some of these books are from the "Evelyn Collection" even though I've owned them for many years, I still think of them as hers. Pricing: Many of these books are scarce and they are difficult for me to price. Some don't have any recent sales for the past few years. Others have a few sales, but they are up and down with some wide swings. I used GPA for the most part, but I also checked Heritage and eBay for raw sales,, Payment: is by Check, MO, Zelle or Paypal. Payment is due within 7 days unless we have made other arrangements prior to you posting a on the thread or in a PM. If I cannot determine which Take it is first, the one in the thread will win. Shipping: I didn't include shipping in the price because I can't determine shipping cost outside the U.S. easily and the U.S .shipping costs have changed recently. I will charge exact shipping. I can ship priority, or parcel select in the U.S. Outside of the U.S. for any transaction that costs more than $250, it must ship with a signature required. I pay for private insurance (I cover that part) and my insurance requires a signature. For any transaction inside the U.S., I will ship anything over $2k Fedex ground or Express Mail, your choice. Returns: Thankfully I don't usually have return issues, but I made a few changes in my rules. I accept returns for any reason within 7 days. You must notify me within 3 days of receipt that you want to return the book and mail it within 7 days. CGC books : The book must be returned packaged the same way I packed the book and shipped using the same method it was sent to you. I do accept returns on CGC books, but you pay return shipping both ways and if there are PP fees, you are responsible for those as well unless PP refunds them now, I think they stopped.. Raw books: For raw books, if I made an error in grading, I will pay return shipping and refund the entire amount you paid (including fees) If I missed restoration, you have 60 days to request a refund, I don't pay grading fees. After 60 days all sales are final.

Hi folks, this is my first post of probably many as I've just come into some old comics. I've searched the internet high and low trying to get information about this supplement from a newspaper called New York Star that only seemed to exist for two years. The main question I guess is, is this considered a marvel golden age comic. It seems to be Sub-mariner #28, except with a different cover and minus two ad pages which was released in Oct '48, this being Jan '49. It contains: Three sub-mariner stories (a case of the king's ransom/kids! Kids! Kids!/crime makes the writer) and a Blonde Phantom story (the test of fear). The first panel of every story has a code, being SL-3323, 3522, 3382 and 3562. There is also a two page story titled 'Imagination' with the code SL-3125. On the front cover is art by Frank Frollo. Also included is a full page ad for a 25c beanie copter, a sub-mariner quiz page (3718), a page showing two half page ads, one being for a Simplex Portable Typewriter for $2.98 and a Juke box bank for $1.98, and a back page ad for the new York star newspaper. Every inside page is in colour. So my questions are does this count as a marvel golden age, is it some kind of rare variant find, is it worth grading, does the SL stand for Stan Lee, anything you can tell me would be gratefully recieved. Also, if I was to grade it, is there such a thing as trimming the cover? It overhangs by about 4mm on the outer edge and doing so would drastically increase its presentation. I have more comics with questions so this probably won't be my last post. Thanks in advance!

Welcome to my sale. Some of these books are from the “Evelyn Collection” they are among the last of the raw books I own from that collection. If you are interested in the history of the “Evelyn Collection” I wrote some info here when I sold the balance of her books. To the best of my knowledge, these books have not been pressed. There is a mixture today, some expensive books, some are very reasonable. I take Paypal, checks, money orders, or I'd consider tanzanite earrings;) (maybe) I ship to anywhere, at my cost. I use regional boxes when it's more practical, I will ship media mail but not on anything over $100. I pay for private insurance and I try to pack well. I will consider reasonable time payments, but you must discuss them with me before you post a take it. The first or "take it "here or in a pm thread wins, however, if I can't determine the time, the one on the board wins. I take returns for any reason as long as you notify me within 3 days of receipt and you pay for return shipping (unless I made an errror) and ship it in the same manner I shipped the books to you. I must receive the books within 7 days. No list people please.
