Since when was there a Cerebus #1 graded a CGC 9.6? It's a Signature Series too and does not appear to be a regraded version as there are still 3 at 9.4. I'm surprised to see this coming out of left field and would love to see it.

Shipping: All books are either CGC Signature Series Certified or CGC Universal Certified, and shipping is included FREE within North America, ROW we split it. Who wins: The time stamp seals the deal as to who wins, regardless of the form of communication (including PM, or in the thread). If there is an unconditional posted (or communicated) it will trump all negotiations unless we have already both agreed to terms before the was posted. No House Of Shame or Probationary members or any others with a bad reputation of non-payment. Pricing: Although I am open to offers I do try to price as fairly as possible so offers of 25% off my listed prices will not be successful

A few announcements that you Gerhard/Cerebus fans should be excited about: 1) Gerhard will be making his first Los Angeles appearance in at least 25 years at the LA Ultimate Comic Art & Collectibles Show taking place Sunday, July 15, 2018. This show takes place the weekend before San Diego and dealers will be previewing the art they are taking to San Diego. You may ask - will Gerhard be in San Diego? Nope, so buy your tickets for the LA Ultimate Show at www.UltimateLAShow.com and see him there! 2) I am happy to announce that I am officially representing Gerhard in the sale of his original art and other exclusives that he will release from time to time. 3) Back to point #2, here’s your first exclusive… back in 1985, Dave and Gerhard created a set of six special high-quality prints/plates titled the “First Fifth.” There were a total of six plates in the set. Each 11” x 17” plate featuring characters that were prominent in the 10 issue arc represented by each plate. Dave and Ger made 100 signed/numbered B&W sets. They haven’t been available for a long time and rarely ever come up for sale. Well, Gerhard did a little cleaning up around the house and found a few of these rarities that we wanted to offer up. Attached you’ll find a list of the individual plates and sets that are available. · Reservations will be accepted on a first-come, first served basis. Please list alternates in case the number you want is already reserved. · Shipping will be $25 for most U.S. locations and $45 for International Locations. Prints will be shipped directly by Gerhard from Canada. Please indicate if you would like Gerhard to add any personalization to the print (no additional charge). 4) Again, with point #2… for those more interested in Cerebus Original Art, Gerhard is cracking his vault (Dave’s vault remains closed) and will be offering 20 vintage Cerebus pages to the public for the first time. We call this the “Backgrounds in the Forefront Sale” as each of the pages primarily features Gerhard’s intricate backgrounds that he is famous for. And, because each page doesn’t have pesky “characters” on them, we have kept the price of each page under $900. Similar to my past sales, I will reveal each page over the course of an hour on my CAF Site. Please bookmark the site at: http://www.comicartfans.com/galleryroom.asp?gsub=179126. And, time payments are available for those that want to purchase multiple pages. The sale will start at 9:00AM PT/12:00 PM ET on Sunday, April 29th! Whew – That’s a lot. Happy hunting!

Today I have 3 books for sale. These all came from a relative's collection which dates back to the late 60's and I'm now helping him sell them to make space. More will be coming later, but I'm starting with a few just to get some money flowing. All have been freshly-graded by CGC within the last month. The legal mumbo-jumbo: Payment by paypal (goods & services). First "take it" (or some positive affirmation resembling it) in the thread wins. Claims via PM are acceptable, but I'm not always around the computer, so I may be slow in responding. Offers are okay, but I'll likely just move these to the Bay if they don't sell here. I believe they've been priced fairly based on GPA. No returns for CGC graded books. Buyer pays shipping, which will be via USPS Priority Mail in the US (double-boxed for the regular sized slabs) and includes tracking/insurance. Shipping is available to Canada based on actual shipping charges to buyer's location. No Hall of Shame or Probation List Peeps. I guess I need to start a Kudos thread one of these days, but, until then, I have been buying and selling on eBay as "qburt" since 1998 with a feedback score north of 1600. And now, the books....

In 2005 I heard Dave Sims tell Neil Gaiman that he would send an autographed copy of Cerebus to anyone who wrote him a handwritten letter. I figured he had a stack of a single issue already completed. Just as a test, I specifically asked him to sign a copy of his favorite issue he ever did on Cerebus and explain why it was his favorite. To my surprise he promptly responded with 3 issues, autographed, from 5 years earlier! Attached is a picture of the letter he wrote explaining why Going Home #s 25-27 were his favorite.

I am offering a few rare items up for sale: 1) Set of 21 Unsigned Vintage Dave Stevens Prints $420 + shipping: I was lucky to find a few NM sets of 21 unsigned prints by the master Dave Stevens. These are original issued prints and many of them are hard to find. Included you will find a couple Bettie Page, multiple Rocketeer, Vampirella, as well as many of the beautify women he was known for drawing. If you're a Stevens fan, you likely won't find another set like this at this price. http://www.comicartfans.com/galleryroom.asp?gsub=185032 2) Set of 9 Original Norman Rockwell Photos - You never see these for sale... these are some of the photographs from which Norman Rockwell would create his masterpieces. These provide you insight into how he would pose his models as well as a behind the scenes look at some true classics. Can't afford $1M+ for a preliminary painting - well, I'm pricing these at just $1,800 + shipping for the set of 9 photos. I have no idea what they should go for, but they would look great framed together or next to the famous pieces that they were used to create. All published in the 1979 book Rockwell on Rockwell. http://www.comicartfans.com/galleryroom.asp?gsub=185027 3) Set of 7 Gerhard Cerebus Prints - If you're a Cerebus fan, you'll love these high quality art prints that Gehard did a couple years back. Only a handful were actually printed and he stopped producing them when he switched over to an 11" x 17" format for his prints. All 7 for $150 + shipping or I'll sell them individually. http://www.comicartfans.com/galleryroom.asp?gsub=185023 Thanks for looking!
