I have a Maxx 1/2 with no foil printing on it. I sent it out to cgc to get graded. I just got it back today and saw they labeled it a universal grade. I thought it would be a qualified grade do to the fact there is no foil printing on the cover. So I went to the census to check it out turns out they put it in its own category labeling it wizard presents the Maxx. Instead of putting it with the other variants of this cover. I was wondering if anyone could tell me why they would do this and get any thoughts on if this will effect the value of the book good or bad. Thanks

Hello CGC community! I was hoping someone could help me out and tell me what happened to this book.. I have a Secret Wars #1 with a funky cover. It is otherwise in NM condition. Just curious if anyone can tell why this happened and if it will take a hug hit during the grading process (ie get a green label or something). It doesn't feel any different running my finger across it. Makes me think it is a printing error. Thank you!

Fellow collectors I'm looking for feedback on a mobile app that took me almost two years to create. It has over 7,000 key issues (1st appearances, iconic covers etc.) with price guidance. You can catalog your comics and build a wish list. Its all free. No ads. I don't profit. I built a database for myself and a friend who had a huge collection in his warehouse but didn't know the valuable from the non-valuable comics. You can download on apple or android through keycollectorcomics.com or go directly to the mobile links I provided below. Enjoy! - Nick iTunes: https://itunes.apple.

Hello all, I've been a collector of romance comics for a little while and I came across a classic soda shop cover that I really loved. Upon researching the book, I discovered that the cover of the book was wildly miscolored due to what I could only assume was a printing error. So, I went out and found myself a regular version of the book to compare. (Attached to this post are photos of both books) The regular cover is the blue hair, the misprint cover is the magenta hair. As you can see, everything is just a shade or three lighter than what it's supposed to be. Is this rare? does thi

Hello. I have purchased CGC graded comics but this is my first time ever submitting some anything to CGC to be graded. I am an associate level member and have chose to use UPS grounds as my mailing option which was 14 dollars per comic. I was able to pack my comics following the Shipping Kit and Packing Tips. I printed out the invoice containing which comics I'm sending out to them as well as the services I requested, but realized that there was no shipping label? Again it's my first time, so i am a little confused because from previous experiences, sending stuff out using online systems I hav

Eddie Hello again my friends!!! It's been a little while since I've posted a sale, so I figured why not lighten the load. If I don't have it, I don't have to move it someplace else!!! That said, let's get on with it!!! RULES!!!

Hi there I send in a comic already CGC graded for a signature and new signature series label. It occurred to me after my submission that I didn’t add the CCS pressing on the comic. May I have some guidance in upgrading my order and paying the extra $20 for pressing?

Okay so I ordered this daredevil book online that has Stan Lee’s signature inside the comic on the first page. I know no one can tell me for sure if it’s authentic but I thought I’d could get an idea what everyone thought? Did I buy an authentic Stan lee signature or a fake? Thanks for your input!!

Hi all, I am a noob to the whole comic gig and I have a couple questions and concerns regarding fees and how they pertain to comics when sending into CGC to get graded. My first concern is why CGC charges so many fees in regards to grading or even pre-screens...they even charge you a percentage on books that they returned not graded (CRAZY)....who can afford these prices....even with my elite membership....I feel this is still a huge rip-off....but anyway perhaps I am missing some info on the grading process or the best way to go about this. I am looking to send in about 50 comics to get

Hello, everybody. I've only posted a couple of times before, but plan on changing that. I'm the category manager for an online comic auction site called Hipcomic, and we feature some regular no-reserve and prestige sales on a weekly basis. I wanted to try and reach out to an active comics forum community that i know has a ton of traction and just post some of the weekly events we offer at our site. This week's highlight items are an ASM 129 9.0, a Batman Adventures #12 9.6, and a Werewolf by Night #32 6.5 - all CGC, as well as other items. Check it out if you want. Please let me kn

Are comics that have complete nudity on the cover, such as the RAGS variant, able to be graded and encapsulated? i was watching an online sale that said full nudity on comic covers were unable to be graded by any comic book gradeing company and i wanted to know if that was true before sending my variant cover of rags out to be graded.
