There are a lot of posts about single pages scattered across the boards, but I have found no thread dedicated to them. That makes the hunt for these posts a bit problematic. I myself have talked about my belief that as keys grow more expensive, people will more and more resort to the collecting of single pages. But there’s another dimension to the pursuit of single pages. Even for those lucky enough to own a key book, it’s usually going to be slabbed and therefore impossible to see the interior. In order to enjoy the book, maybe we satisfy ourselves with a reprint. personally, I find the collection of single pages to be another way to bring a slabbed key to life. I first posted this under “Water Cooler”, but it wasn’t getting much notice. I am hoping to hear the thoughts of others as to where Overstreet is missing the boat. My motivation is probably mostly focused on Planet Comics, but surely there are other pockets of inaccuracies. What do you guys see? oh, here is my original post: Just got mine. The usual suspects got some small bumps - like lower grade Cap 1 and Bat 1 and pre-Robin tecs. I’m a little surprised there was such little movement on Cap 3, and NO movement on Planets. Why no movement on Planets? Maybe I’m the only one who likes em. Here’s another thing surprised me. AA 16 slipped ahead of Batman 1 in the Top 100 Golden Age comics. AA 16 is now #4, and Bat 1 dropped back to #5. I realize the final hammer is days away, but in the upcoming Heritage auction, AA 16 is currently losing to a lower grade Bat 1. How about you guys? What changes do you see? What changes don’t you see that you would have expected?

None of us have the resources to collect everything we want; all of us are forced to make choices. It’s a big world out there, and every genre we collect is at the cost of another. is there a book in your collection that, to you, is so representative of a genre that you can look yourself in the mirror and say “I’m done”? Is there a book in your collection that is so representative of a genre that you feel free to move on? I was big into WWII war covers, but realized very quickly I couldn’t get em all. So I’ve settled on my favorite cover and released the rest. Then, @Ricksneatstuff got me into GGA, and there I went, chasing a different flock of geese. @Gotham Kid got me into Pre-Robin Tecs, same result. Yesterday there appeared a thread about a piece of John Buscema art that had just sold on the Bay, and @delekkerste said “it’s the closest thing to a one-and-done piece you'll find that encapsulates an era”. It’s what gave me the idea for this topic. Anyway, below is the Buscema piece, followed by a couple of books that, for me, scratch the itch for a couple different genres, and releases me to turn my attention elsewhere. is there such a book in your collection? Deets - in thread Paypal Goods/Services No Returns I have no idea if there is interest in these. I had three years of German in HS but that was 40 some odd years ago so I can't translate much. I did look up the titles and evidently the Kommissar X is relatively well-known with seven films made. I am not sure if the Die Ratte film is based on the one Die Ratte pulp. There are two Rebel Kriminal Romane and one coverless (missing FC and BC) Nat Pinkerton. Some do have some interior text illos. It looks like they are all crime fiction series. They appear complete except the Nat Pinkerton as noted. Average G/VG. One of the Rebel has glue along spine. Small pencil marks on first page. I included one pic to show. I have no idea what price to put on them. I found a few similar Kommissar on Ebay Germany. I'll try $35 OBO plus $4 media mail for US. If any international boardies are interested, will have to get a quote. Any interest at $15 shipped (US)?

If we reach a deal via PM, I'll mark books SOLD in the thread as soon as reasonably possible - but if someone else takes the book in the thread before your PM take is acknowledged in the thread (by either you or I), the thread poster is the winner, I'm afraid; so, there is some risk of losing a book if you try to remain anonymous via PM. (Credit to EC Ed for these rules. I have adapted them with his permission) I kindly ask that you not Quote a book and then make a comment. It makes the book appear to be sold. Payment I'll take PayPal for total sales under $1000 if PayPal is your preferred method. Personal checks, or USPS money orders for total sales $1000 or higher. When the thread is over an invoice will be sent with PayPal address. I'll expect payment within 10 calendar days of invoice, or the book will be available for sale again (unless we've made other payment arrangements) Time payments are available for purchases of $2500 or more with20% non-refundable deposit and installment payments so purchase is paid in full no later than 90 days and up to 120 days can be available for $10,000 or more (please PM first). Hi, tonight I'll be listing about 20 books. The raw books have not been cleaned or pressed. As for the slabs, I submitted most of the books and many were pressed by Joey Post. I marked the ones that I know for sure were not pressed or cleaned (because I don't have all of my books pressed or cleaned). Some of the books are new, some I've had for sale before. All of the prices should be fair, but in the case of the relisted books, I've lowered most of them. I'm going to do shipping at my cost to be fair to those who are out of the Country or across the Country or near me. If you need a shipping quote, just ask. I use regional boxes whenever it's practical and I pay for private insurance and if you spend more than $200, I will pay for the signature that my insurance requires. I accept Paypal, Checks or Money Orders. Payment is due in 7 days unless we have made other arrangements before you hit the Take it sign. First take it wins. In case of a tie, the one visible on the boards wins. Returns for any reason, but the book must be returned packed and shipped in the same manner it was shipped to the buyer within 7 days of receipt. Return shipping costs are to be paid by the buyer unless I made an error. Time payments are possible with a 20% non refundable downpayment paid within 3 days.
