The sixteenth California Comic Convention ( CalComicCon ) will be held on Sunday, February 4th, 2024 The show will again be held in Orange County in Anaheim, held just miles from Disneyland and other attractions. We will continue to have a raffle that will have CGC graded comics, original artwork and sketches by guest artists. This year our show will be at the Hotel FERA, a DoubleTree by Hilton, 100 The City Dr N, Orange, CA 92868 and we will have a Saturday Comic Swap and other events on Saturday the 3rd. this event will be co-sponsored by Short Boxed and Heritage. I recently purchased this cgc 9.8 issue 1 outcast slab from an online comic shop that I’ve ordered from before and trust them. I’ve never had an issue until now. The cgc label is warped, the comic is wavy, the bottom left and top right corners are chipped, the sides of the slab can open a little bit but not enough to slide a comic out, the slab looks thicker than any cgc slab I’ve ever seen and the label on top looks weird, there’s debris inside the case as well. I took multiple photos in the hopes that someone can tell me if I’m crazy or not but I can only post 2. I’ve got 11 more pictures if needed.

The seller is listing a lower graded copy as a CBCS 9.4 by fraudulently stating it's the same booked that was cracked. I found a past sale with photos of the actual 9.4 that matches the label and grader's notes, including the date stamp on the logo that isn't there on the copy currently being sold. I recently sold a graded (slabbed) comic and now I'm shipping it to the buyer. Does anyone know where I can buy quality mailers for shipping graded comics? I checked BCW and didn't see anything. I do not own any slabs, and I am unsure of whether or not I want to start down the path. I know that some people love cgc books and some love raw book. I understand there are a multitude of factors that go into whether someone does graded vs. raw books (cost, aesthetic etc.), but I want to get some of you all's opinions on whether I should start collecting graded comics. -
HI. I am not a newbie collector--I have thousands of comics in Golden, Silver, Bronze, and Modern Ages. I am a newbie seller, however. My quandary is which service to use to sell graded books valued at over $200 each. When deciding between ComicConnect and Comic Link, which do you prefer and why? Thanks very much.

Stacking Graded Comics Rather than putting my comics in graded comic boxes I've decided to do the "OCD" thing and stack 'em. So in furthering my "OCD" nature, I was wondering if any "Physics\Engineering Heads" have determined the maximum number of books which can safely be stacked? I am guessing this hasn't been determined, however if you could pass along how many you stack would be appreciated and helpful.
