High-grade lot of Silver Age Strange Tales. Grade range from CGC 7.5 to CGC 8.5. All from 1965. These comics are all from a large, one-owner, collection I purchased in 2002. The owner was a mentally challenged man who lived with his sister. Comic books were about the limit of which he was capable of reading. His family purchased comics for him off the shelf, he read them once, and carefully put them in a box. If the comic was too challenging, he just put it in the box. Nearly all of his comics were high-grade with the most common issues being storage related or, in some cases, light fingerprints because it took him a while to read it. If I were to purchase this collection today I would have it pedigreed. That option was not really available in 2002. $475 + $25 shipping: Strange Tales #129: CGC 7.5 Strange Tales #130: CGC 8.0 Strange Tales #131: CGC 8.5 Strange Tales #134: CGC 7.5 PAYMENT: PayPal, Personal Check, or Money Order. Strange Tales #126 pg. 12 - Dick Ayers pencils and Paul Reinman inks. Twice-up, large silver age art, image size 18½" X 12¾", featuring Mr. Fantastic stretching, the Torch flaming and the Thing making his usual wisecracks. Also the Torch & FF's arch-foes the Mad Thinker and the Puppet Master in the final panel. The page is white; any "tanning" near the edges is an artifact of my poor scanning skills. Some text correcting whiteout in panels 1, 4, and 5. The only whiteout art correction is Reeds face in panel 2. One word of text glued in panel 4 caption box. See scans. I haven't been on in a little while but I've been a little busy. Here's a quick update for anyone who's interested. If you don't care, just scroll down to the book. That was the latest sale of one of the high grade copies.

I picked up a small lot of 95% NON-superhero Golden age books pretty much just for this book and a Detective..But would love to grade/price this correctly for trade purposes . It had a dog eared upper right cover since the beginning of time with a small tear there also..some spine splits top and bottom cover(rip on bottom also),no ripped pages. cover and center pages still fully attached at staples Maybe a G+? 2.0?
