  2. Greetings Everyone! It's time for a Kramerica Super Summer Thread. Over the next 7-10 days I'm going to be listing a flotilla of SA and BA Marvels and DC's. High grade, mid-grade, low grade, no grade and CGC graded books. I'm pretty sure I'll have all genres covered except for romance books. Please note that all CGC graded books have been pressed prior to grading. I'll list recaps with links every 10 pages or so as well. I'll be throwing out a lot of freebies and no thread of mine would be complete without raffle prizes! Raffle Prize info. You get a raffle ticket for each book you buy. When it's time to have the Raffle I'll utilize a online random number generator and determine the winner. After that I'll do another Raffle - time and date TBD. Congratulations to MR Sig S as he is the lucky winner Raffle #1 - an 8.5 copy of Defenders #28 For our next Raffle, I thought I would do TWO prizes So, first prize will be.....an 8.5 copy of Daredevil #126 and our second prize will be a 9.2 copy of Amazing Spider-Man #310 We'll hold the raffle drawing this Sat when I *should* be winding this thread down, or when you convince me to keep it going Click HERE for more Raffle Prize Info ********************************************************* Terms: Paypal, check or money order are all accepted. always rules over any PM's or ongoing offers/negotiations. Feel free to PM me with offers. I will not laugh or take offense, so offer away. Shipping is either via boxed Priority Mail or boxed Flat Rate Priority Mail box for $13.65 - it will depend on how many books, weight, destination, etc, etc. If you have other preferences let me know - I'm happy to try new things but no media mail. 3. Hello. I found a "The Amazing Spider-man" #252 Mark Jewlers variant key comic signed by Stan Lee and Micheal Zeck graded by CGC at a high grade of 9.6 white pages. And it was selling for $37.00 on mrbeaina.com. https://www.mrbeaina.info/amazing-spiderman-252-cgc-96-dual-signature-autograph-stan-lee-michael-zeck-item-31959.html When I saw this I was asking myself if I was lucky or not. I mean it's a rare key comic that is hard to come by which is the first appearance of the black spider-man suit, and it's the Mark Jewlers variant it has two signatures from Stan Lee and Mark Zeck and it's at a high grade at 9.6. Well it was 72% off on that website. I mean amazon and ebay woulden't sell it at a price lower at $37.00. The most prices for that comic with Stan Lee or another signature that worked at marvel whether on amazon or ebay would be at high price. For mrbeaina. I think I might have gotten lucky.

  6. I'll be posting a ton of comics in this thread for $3 each over the next several days. Expect all sorts of special gimmick covers, first appearances, variants, anniversary issues, etc. Most comics will be from the 80s and 90s with a few newer ones. Some comics that were polybagged were opened but were placed back in bag and contents still remain. Most comics will be in the VF to NM range with a few exceptions. Given the prices I will only scan the front cover without removing the comic bag. The comics come from a smoke-free home, and have not been pressed or otherwise altered while in my possession. Shipping will be $4 for 1-2 comics (first class), and $7 for 3-7 comics (priority mail) and $13 for 8+ comics (priority box). Only shipping to USA as of now. This sale will go one for several days so I will send invoices after I end the sale. Payment expected within 48 hours of invoice via Paypal. If you live in the Bay Area then pick-up may be possible. Returns accepted for raw comics if notified within 3 days of item receipt but buyer is responsible for shipping costs. Not accepting any offers from folks on the probation/HOS list. First wins. Please contact me for any questions.

  8. After many years of collecting, I finally own every Marvel Giant Size book! Background: Although I didn't grow up in the 1970s when the GS books were hitting the stands, I had several well-read copies that I cherished above all of my other comics. Why? Because they were big! I didn't care that some of the stories were reprints, I just liked reading a beefy thick comic book and my appreciation for the GS books continued into my adult years. I've been slowly (very slowly) collecting every GS title over the years and it feels great to finally have them all (at least I think I do! ). Over 95% of this collection was purchased "the old fashioned way", at garage sales, comics shops, and from generous CGC Boardies. Sure, you could easily jump on eBay and assemble all 68 issues, but what fun is that?! I intentionally avoided eBay for this run (can you call it a run?!) Rough guess, but this run has taken me +10 years to complete. Many of them are low grades, but I prefer it that way...I decided to seek all of these books out because I want my sons to be able to read them and enjoy them just like I did as a kid (and yes I have floppy versions of the graded books). Cheers and happy collecting! Fun Facts: - My first Giant Size book as a kid: GS Kid Colt #1 - My last purchase to complete the set: GS Man Thing #4 - My favorite GS book: GS Chillers #2 - Hardest GS book for me to find "organically": GS Kid Colt #3 - Most $ spent on a GS book: GS Spiderman #4 (I got my original copy of GSXM1 at a garage sale, had it graded, traded down years later for the 5.0 I currently have!) - I've read every single one! Let's celebrate these quintessential Bronze Marvel books by posting your favorite GS books in the thread! Thanks for reading. Also, in case anyone is interested here’s the list of all the GS books: DD 1 Conan 1,2,3,4,5 Master of Kung Fu 1,2,3,4 FF 2,3,4,5,6 Man Thing 1,2,3,4,5 Dracula 2,3,4,5 Defenders 1,2,3,4,5 Cap 1 Cap Marvel 1 Doc Savage 1 Superstars 1 Thor 1 Iron man 1 Hulk 1 Invaders 1 Power Man 1 Dr Strange 1 Chillers 1,2,3 Chillers 1 (Dracula) Marvel Triple Action 1,2 Avengers 1,2,3,4,5 Super Villain Team Up 1,2 Spider-Man 1,2,3,4,5,6 Kid Colt 1,2,3 Creatures 1 Werewolf 2,3,4,5 Xmen 1,2
  9. Should I invest in MS Marvel #1 1977 ? Hi folks first time long time! Just like many of you I grew up loving the art and stories that marvel & dc comics offered along with trading cards. I'm a huge fan of the MCU and have watched all movies (expect Iron Man #3, I hear you can miss this one :D) and just started collecting comics that I could never have or missed out on having. So far I have invested in Black Panther #1 GCG 9.8, Avengers #125 CGC 9.8. I know that movie rumors fuel the hype and prices go up. I currently have my eye on MS. Marvel 1977 #1 9.8. Now as many of you know the price is anywhere from 1000-1500. Is this a worthy buy at its current price? Has it always been around this price? Also will it only increase due to trailers dropping or closer when the movie will be released? Not sure if I should buy now or wait. Thanks for any suggestions!

  15. I really, really hope this comes true! Ready Player One' Writer Adapting ROM: Spaceknight for Paramount. http://comicbook.com/movies/2018/03/26/rom-spaceknight-movie-paramount-zak-penn/ Steven Spielberg's Ready Player One adaptation is about to hit theaters, but already the film's writer, Zak Penn, has been tapped to take on another high-profile geek project: adapting the comic book character of ROM: Spacenight into a blockbuster movie for Paramount Pictures. Deadline reports Hasbro's Allspark Pictures is working with Paramount on the ROM movie. The character started as a Parker Brother toy before becoming a Marvel comic book, which was later rebooted under the IDW banner. ROM's comics chronicle the tale of a cyborg called ROM (read-only memory) from the planet Galador, who is tasked with saving his world from the invasion of the Dire Wraith race. After saving Galador, ROM continues his battles against the Dire Wraiths on Earth and on other planets.

  17. I think my other thread got pulled because I had posted some copper/modern books in the GSB forum. I'm not exactly sure why the whole thread was pulled instead of deleting some of the modern books or without warning but either way I'm restarting this thread minus the copper/modern books. I hope that resolves the issue. I will post the copper/modern books in the copper section later. Here goes... I will be selling some awesome comics in order to raise some money for other projects. 20. Hello, the new Avengers Station in Vegas is the only store that is not under Disney contract and they have "new" comics that are certified hand stamp signature of Stan Lee using his Solvent DNA Ink. They have a Thor comic and a Rise of the Blank Panther Variant edition one comic as well. Has anyone heard of this before? The comic retail guy who said he is a comic grader mentioned that last year Stan Lee signed all these himself and only a limited amount. The picture is included. Thanks any info will help.
  21. People, I have something to ask. How valuable are the Marvel Milesstone versions of the key comics from Marvel during the Silver to Bronze with Stan Lee's signature go for? For example, can "The Avengers #4 : Milestone edition" or "Marvel secret wars #8 : Milestone edition" go for like $100-$999 or a Premium $1000-$4,999? I mean "The Avengers #4" can go for over $1000 with Stan Lee's signature because it's a key comic and he was the writer too.
