  1. Hello, the new Avengers Station in Vegas is the only store that is not under Disney contract and they have "new" comics that are certified hand stamp signature of Stan Lee using his Solvent DNA Ink. They have a Thor comic and a Rise of the Blank Panther Variant edition one comic as well. Has anyone heard of this before? The comic retail guy who said he is a comic grader mentioned that last year Stan Lee signed all these himself and only a limited amount. The picture is included. Thanks any info will help.
  2. After many years of collecting, I finally own every Marvel Giant Size book! Background: Although I didn't grow up in the 1970s when the GS books were hitting the stands, I had several well-read copies that I cherished above all of my other comics. Why? Because they were big! I didn't care that some of the stories were reprints, I just liked reading a beefy thick comic book and my appreciation for the GS books continued into my adult years. I've been slowly (very slowly) collecting every GS title over the years and it feels great to finally have them all (at least I think I do! ). Over 95% of this collection was purchased "the old fashioned way", at garage sales, comics shops, and from generous CGC Boardies. Sure, you could easily jump on eBay and assemble all 68 issues, but what fun is that?! I intentionally avoided eBay for this run (can you call it a run?!) Rough guess, but this run has taken me +10 years to complete. Many of them are low grades, but I prefer it that way...I decided to seek all of these books out because I want my sons to be able to read them and enjoy them just like I did as a kid (and yes I have floppy versions of the graded books). Cheers and happy collecting! Fun Facts: - My first Giant Size book as a kid: GS Kid Colt #1 - My last purchase to complete the set: GS Man Thing #4 - My favorite GS book: GS Chillers #2 - Hardest GS book for me to find "organically": GS Kid Colt #3 - Most $ spent on a GS book: GS Spiderman #4 (I got my original copy of GSXM1 at a garage sale, had it graded, traded down years later for the 5.0 I currently have!) - I've read every single one! Let's celebrate these quintessential Bronze Marvel books by posting your favorite GS books in the thread! Thanks for reading. Also, in case anyone is interested here’s the list of all the GS books: DD 1 Conan 1,2,3,4,5 Master of Kung Fu 1,2,3,4 FF 2,3,4,5,6 Man Thing 1,2,3,4,5 Dracula 2,3,4,5 Defenders 1,2,3,4,5 Cap 1 Cap Marvel 1 Doc Savage 1 Superstars 1 Thor 1 Iron man 1 Hulk 1 Invaders 1 Power Man 1 Dr Strange 1 Chillers 1,2,3 Chillers 1 (Dracula) Marvel Triple Action 1,2 Avengers 1,2,3,4,5 Super Villain Team Up 1,2 Spider-Man 1,2,3,4,5,6 Kid Colt 1,2,3 Creatures 1 Werewolf 2,3,4,5 Xmen 1,2

  8. Hi everyone. My father had this comic. In the 70s, as a boy, I cut out Spidey and the Rhino and pasted them on a piece of oaktag. I don't think my father got angry at me. Comics were different back then. I don't remember him even purchasing bags for the books until the early 80s. In any event, just picked this up again. I'm sending this off to CGC and was wondering what you guys think. The cover is firmly attached. The pages are on the brighter side of off-white. There is a small, tiny tear on the back cover. Thanks!

  12. NO BUYER'S PREMIUMS — What you bid is what you pay! Event Auction Highlight: Daredevil: The Collection Without Fear Daredevil is one of the great continued success stories of Marvel’s stable as the character has undergone several transformations over the decades. From his earliest iteration as a yellow-and-black suited Silver Age crimefighter, to his hard-boiled and groundbreaking tenure in the 1980s that made illustrator Frank Miller into a household name. In the modern day, Daredevil has enjoyed yet another rebirth due to the staggering popularity of his recently canceled Netflix show, with rumors swirling about a rebooted TV series or an upgrade to the MCU, Daredevil is the hero that keeps on reinventing himself. From the highly collectible key first issue, featuring a Spider-Man cover appearance illustrated by Jack Kirby right up to the last pre-Miller issue, this is a fantastic collection of Man Without Fear comics for those Devil of Hell’s Kitchen fans out there. From the consignor: “When I was a kid Daredevil was one of the comics that turned me into a lifelong fan. I loved everything about it. I still do.” “A few years later I was working at a comic shop as a teenager and started collecting seriously, Daredevil was naturally one of the titles I started buying and over the years I put together a couple of mid-grade runs, I just loved the character.” “Starting in 2010 I decided to do the run right once and for all. My original goal was to get #1-157 in 9.4 or better with an additional focus on pedigree books. I wanted the best possible preservation, page quality, and structure for each book, no matter what the grade. Even with a couple of 9.2s in there, the run is better than I hoped it would be. One-third of the books are from pedigree collections and the ones that aren’t look like they could be.” Click here to view the entire Collection Without Fear! Click here to view the entire auction The auction end-dates are as follows: Session 1 (Original Comic Art, Memorabilia, and Comic Titles: Action Comics - Arrow) March 11, 2019 Session 2 (Atomic Comics - Daredevil) March 12, 2019 Session 3 (Daring Comics - Katy Keene) March 13, 2019 Session 4 (Keen Detective Funnies - Spectacular Spider-Man) March 14, 2019 Session 5 (Speed Comics - Zip-Jet) March 15, 2019 For additional information on how ComicConnect auctions work, please click here. 13. I love comic books. Ever since I was a kid, the lure of the hand-drawn art, as well as the adventure to the local comic store alone, was the highlight of a long school week. As I got older, the comics I loved became art and soon I was collecting graded comics to keep forever in perfect (or close to perfect) condition. The one problem I found was always displaying them. No matter what the product it always seemed flimsy or not “clean” looking enough. I wanted something that could support my habit and also provide a minimal way to showcase them without bulky and expensive covers and matte frames. So, I began 3D printing, designing, and modeling. After months of trial, I finally had what I wanted. Simple to install bracket that minimally holds the graded comic without sacrificing that perfect cover art. BEHOLD! The Mountiee! Mountiees are resin printed brackets that hold just the lip of the graded comic without hiding anything else from that beautiful case. The design also lets you slip your comic in and out at your leisure so your display can change as your mood does. Simply mount the bracket with the included screws and wall anchors and BOOM…its on the wall. We designed the bracket with collectors in mind meaning we used high-quality UV resin to make the bracket stable without worrying about weight or grip. They are light weight but can hold any graded comic from standard case to newsprint. Mountiees come in 3 colors: Dark Night (Black), Classic Gray, and Semi-Transparent. No interested in using screws? Renting? Head to your local home improvement store and grab double-sided removable mounting tape. It's that easy! We want you to start displaying your “preciousnesses” as well, so head on over and grab your brackets today! 15. Hello folks, My first time on this forum. I registered to join the party, and in hopes of educating myself through other's knowledge and experience. So, about 5 years ago, I purchased a copy of Avenging Spiderman #9. The book came with an unknown signature. The seller did not know as well. I kept it because it costed me 10$. However, I still have 0 clue who autographed this book. Can you guys help me identify the artist's autograph behind this? I attached a photo for clarity. Appreciate it!
  16. Hello people of CGC. Just haven't made a post on this forum in a while. I need help trying to price my “New mutants #87” signed by the late Stan Lee and Rob Liefeld at the current market value at a grade of 9.0 off white to white pages. You see I am trying to sell this signatured key issue from 1990 at the current market value by auctioning it off. And I can’t risk on spending like $38.63 and later getting ripped off if the item does not sell for 514.99. Because ebay can’t refund sellers of the item does not sell in the auction. Which I find hypocritical. I need help on finding a reserved price at market value and see if I can exceed that amount to a premium. And if I am thinking about selling it for like $514.99. Give me an alternative to an auction site like ebay that offers selling a item at $514.99 at a cheap price. Thank you.

It had a dog eared upper right cover since the beginning of time with a small tear there also..some spine splits top and bottom cover(rip on bottom also),no ripped pages. cover and center pages still fully attached at staples Maybe a G+? 2.0? Thanks everyone!! Jeff
  19. It's the most wonderful time of the year! My annual Holiday Sales Thread will begin tonight at 7 PM CST. I'll be listing books over the next three weeks, hopefully ending on New Years Day. Invoices will be sent in early January. No payments are due until that time, and no shipping will occur until that time. So even if you don't have enough cash right now, you have about 3 weeks to save up for your purchases. Its been a great year in the comic business. Between the website and conventions, I have bought thousands of books this year. I've been setting stuff aside all year long for this sale. Many of those books will be offered here for the first time anywhere. There are keys, semi-keys, movie books, high grades, mid grades, and low grades, and as always, lots of books that you just don't see around, and almost all of it will be CHEAP, heavily discounted in some cases! Lots and lots of bargains for the collector, and room for dealers to make money. Lots of Neal Adams, Bernie Wrightson, Jim Steranko! Frazetta covers, Raboy covers, Schomburg covers, LB Cole covers, GGA, Pre-code horror, Pre Hero Atlas, and cool Romance books that you just don't see. I can't imagine that you won't be able to find something you are looking for at a very good price. Typical board rules apply. is king! I welcome reasonable offers by PM, but not 30 seconds after the book has been posted. And no editing of I'll Take its. If you click it, its yours. Also, no trading. I can't keep up with that stuff. If you buy something by PM, you still must post the I'll Take It in the thread. Please keep the chatter to a minimum. Payment - Paypal is the preferred method of payment, but I will accept checks or money orders. I also do time payments on purchases (combined or individual) of more than $500.00. You must check with me prior to purchasing for time payments. I prefer NOT to draw payments out more than a month, and if you do time payments with me, you can't be buying other stuff on the boards, while I am waiting for your payment. And typically speaking, I don't do discounts and time payments together. I offer full 100% money back guarantee, whether in the thread or on the website. Buyer pays return shipping. Item must be returned within 10 days of receipt. Shipping - I will ship worldwide. I use Fed Ex on large shipments and USPS Priority for everything else. USA Priority shipping begins at $8.00, and goes up from there. I do not use first class shipping for international. Priority mail is the only option, unless you clear it with me first. I will be listing on 5 or 6 days over the next 3 weeks. Stay tuned for the schedule. All of the stuff in the picture below will be listed in the thread, plus plenty of surprises along the way, Also, lots of fun stuff like treasuries, memorabilia, hard covers, some horror mags, and who knows what else. If you have questions or requests, please PM them to me. Thanks for looking and get ready to grab some books!

  21. I'm thinking about having this copy of Captain Britain #1 graded but I was hoping to get some opinions on its condition first. When I bought it almost 10 years ago the seller claimed it was mint. I immediately saw a few flaws but decided to hold on to it anyway. There's a very slight divot in the top left corner of the cover near the upper staple. The left edges have some rounding. And because of the cheap newsprint style paper there are two distinct paper creases across the cover. I'm assuming this is not uncommon among these issues but not sure how forgiving that would be. Otherwise it looks to me to be close to a 9.4- 9.2. Mask is sharp and clean with only a bit of yellowing from 42 year old glue. So would you have it graded now or wait and sell it as is unslabbed at a later date? What kind of grade do you see it getting slabbed? Thanks!
