Payment - I prefer personal check or USPS money orders for these, but am willing to do PayPal if that's the only method you are willing to use. Time payments are available with a 20% non-refundable deposit and equal installment payments due every two (2) weeks after the initial deposit so the full price is paid within six (6) weeks. If payment is defaulted or late by three (3) calendar days, the 20% deposit is forfeited to me and I will refund any completed installment payments back to you. I will be having one more large thread here on July 25th and 26th. I am limiting my personal collection to around 50 books that I like the best at this point, so some tough decisions coming. At this time I don't intend on selling any of the books in my signature line. I do not have any previews or pre-sales as I am working on figuring out what is staying and what is going but there will be a lot of great new books for you to purchase. I apologize that I cannot give more information about what is going up for sale here. Much will be last minute decisions. Wednesday, July 25th there will be approximately 50 golden age (with a couple select silver age) books offered. Everything from Action to Western Bandit Trails. The plan is to offer these on July 25th at 3:00 PM EST. Thursday, July 26th will be the MASSIVE PLANET COMICS sale with approximately 30 under copies (and in many cases over copies) of some of the nicest Planet Comics ever. I had a lot of Planet Comics before buying many from 3 of the best collections on the boards and this is not something you will want to miss. In almost every case these are books with dripping exceptional colors, many highest graded and top 5 graded copies. I plan on starting this at 5:00 PM EST to give people a chance at these while they are off work. If you are on the west coast just take the afternoon off I am tagging a bunch of friends here in no particular order, I mean, except Takebot, of course. I just want to make sure you all are aware. If I missed you in this tagging I apologize. We either have not PM'd recently or the books in this thread did not seem like your thing based on the past. There will be very little PCH and just 1-2 Bakers. Hi Folks, Many of you may already know, after 12 years of work and searching, I have successfully put together a wonderful full run of slabbed Planet Comics that I recently Highlighted over in the Golden Age Section. It is a difficult decision for me, but after having achieved a full run of books and having had the opportunity to enjoy them all for a few months I have decided on a pretty big change. With the exception of about five issues which have promised to other boardies I am planning on listing for sale in this thread almost every slabbed copy I own of the Planet Comics from issues #72 down to issue #23. I am keeping issues #1-22 known as Rivet issues for myself and will be working on upgrading those over the coming years. The board has been such an amazing experience for me, and many of the Planet Comics in my run were sourced from or through fellow boardies here. I want to give my fellow boardies first crack at these books as I know there a quite a few other Planet Comics enthusiasts out there. There are a lot of incredible books in the group that is being offered for sale here. I have priced the books to the best of my ability through GPA and feedback from a couple of different folks familiar with the title. . Here are the rules: First in the thread trumps any PM discussions or agreements in process and not secured in the thread. All asking prices are in US dollars. Paypal is usually preferred for payment. I will also consider a cheque but keep in mind I am located in Canada, and this is where all books will ship from. No Hall of Shamers or folks on probation allowed to purchase these books. Shipping is included with all books to either Canada or Continental US destinations. International is ok, but you cover the difference for any excess postal charges I would have paid for Continental US destinations. Returns are accepted within one week of receipt of your book, book must be returned in the same condition it was sent out as, and return shipping is on your dime. I would prefer no time payments on these books, but I have been known to do this before for some established boardies. If you need a few weeks to pay if you purchase multiple books, I can also live with that. An pending back cover photo is acceptable if I do not provide one in the post. All the books are slabbed by CGC though, so you will have a pretty good idea of what you are getting based on the grade. I will not be entertaining offers or providing sneak peaks of pricing prior to listing each book. You can PM me an offer once a book is listed, but I likely wont even read the PM until after I am done listing all of the books. PM offers at your own risk. Well, lets get the show on the road... THE. (end of the) PLANET. SALE. Hello all, The day has finally come when I've decided to part with my beloved Planet Comics run. Those of you who know me are familiar with my many-year's-long journey in putting together the best run of Planet comics I could afford. While I didn't end up getting all of them, I got close. These books are special. I've specifically spent time looking for the best-presenting copies of each issue I could afford in the best grades I could afford - and in-fact selling off the rest of my golden age collection to acquire these exceptional books. Don't worry, there are many books that are affordable for the casual collector (including the first post below) , but many - if not most - are those "dream" books that will appeal to those looking for a permanent member of their collection. Of special note are some of the final books I will post on Friday which include #'s 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, 10, & 12. These books are all originally from the same bound volume, and thus restored. What makes them special is that not-only were they clearly bound the year they were published (and thus making them exceptionally well-preserved in high-grade), these books were restored by the renowned Susan Cicconi and are documented on her website for Restoration Lab as well as confirmed via email discussions I had with her about them. Those who know about her work need no further explanation as she is legendary in the restoration field, but if you are the unitiated, you should know that her work is of the highest quality and these books represent her at the peak of her powers. The result are books that - while not needing much restoration to begin with - are seamless where they required attention (mostly the spines and as such, listed as only Moderate Restoration). They are exceptional books, and in my opinion, rival their unrestored counterparts for the same high-grades (for 1/5th the price!!). I know that restoration isn't always ideal, but I think most will agree that these books are an exception. For the lucky buyer, they will represent the absolute highest grade early Planet you can own at a truly affordable price. Trust me, you'll see. They will be the final books I post. The run will be posted in reverse order. Tonight's post will include only 5 or so books of the end of the run. Thursday will take us to #30, and Friday will be #'s 29-1. While I'm happy to discuss sales via PM, I recommend that if you want a book that you post a . All such public posts will win out every time over discussions that haven't been replied to with an affirmative response to the deal with a timestamp that precedes all other claims. It can be tricky if I'm getting a lot of PM's, I apologize if there is confusion. Anyway, you folks know the drill! Presales: Gotta keep the comic gods happy, so no pre-sales folks. I hope you understand. I am, however, happy to send you information on specific books or lists of what is available if you are interested, along with the approximate times said books will be listed.
