The Books The thread title says it all. General Rules No PL/HOS members The new board software does not display precise thread post times (either in PMs or in sales threads), which can result in the inability to determine whether a PM post or thread post came first. One thing remains certain - it is easy to tell whether one post in a thread came before another post in the same thread. So, the first "take it" posted in the sales thread wins. If we reach a deal via PM, I'll mark books SOLD in the thread as soon as reasonably possible - but if someone else takes the book in the thread before your PM take is acknowledged in the thread (by either you or I), the thread poster is the winner, I'm afraid; so, there is some risk of losing a book if you try to remain anonymous via PM. (Credit to EC Ed for these rules. I have adapted them with his permission) I kindly ask that in this thread you make all the quotes and comments you want Payment I'll take PayPal for total sales under $1000 if PayPal is your preferred method. Personal checks, or USPS money orders for total sales $1000 or higher. When the thread is over an invoice will be sent with PayPal address. I'll expect payment within 10 calendar days of invoice, or the book will be available for sale again (unless we've made other payment arrangements) Time payments are available for purchases of $2500 or more with 20% non-refundable depositand installment payments so purchase is paid in full no later than 90 days and up to 120 days can be available for $10,000 or more (please PM first). Returns/Refunds General Policy: I will accept returns on raw books within 30 days of your receipt of the books, as long as the books are returned to me as they were when you received them. There are NO RETURNS on CGC graded books. I always accept returns on raw books within 6 months if I missedrestoration or the CGC grade is more than 1 grade off (for example I call a raw book a 5.0 and it comes back a 4.5 -no return. If it comes back a 4.0 you can return the book if you want for a full refund plus your shipping to me).

THE. (end of the) PLANET. SALE. Hello all, The day has finally come when I've decided to part with my beloved Planet Comics run. Those of you who know me are familiar with my many-year's-long journey in putting together the best run of Planet comics I could afford. While I didn't end up getting all of them, I got close. These books are special. I've specifically spent time looking for the best-presenting copies of each issue I could afford in the best grades I could afford - and in-fact selling off the rest of my golden age collection to acquire these exceptional books. Don't worry, there are many books that are affordable for the casual collector (including the first post below) , but many - if not most - are those "dream" books that will appeal to those looking for a permanent member of their collection. Of special note are some of the final books I will post on Friday which include #'s 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, 10, & 12. These books are all originally from the same bound volume, and thus restored. What makes them special is that not-only were they clearly bound the year they were published (and thus making them exceptionally well-preserved in high-grade), these books were restored by the renowned Susan Cicconi and are documented on her website for Restoration Lab as well as confirmed via email discussions I had with her about them. Those who know about her work need no further explanation as she is legendary in the restoration field, but if you are the unitiated, you should know that her work is of the highest quality and these books represent her at the peak of her powers. The result are books that - while not needing much restoration to begin with - are seamless where they required attention (mostly the spines and as such, listed as only Moderate Restoration). They are exceptional books, and in my opinion, rival their unrestored counterparts for the same high-grades (for 1/5th the price!!). I know that restoration isn't always ideal, but I think most will agree that these books are an exception. For the lucky buyer, they will represent the absolute highest grade early Planet you can own at a truly affordable price. Trust me, you'll see. They will be the final books I post. The run will be posted in reverse order. Tonight's post will include only 5 or so books of the end of the run. Thursday will take us to #30, and Friday will be #'s 29-1. While I'm happy to discuss sales via PM, I recommend that if you want a book that you post a . All such public posts will win out every time over discussions that haven't been replied to with an affirmative response to the deal with a timestamp that precedes all other claims. It can be tricky if I'm getting a lot of PM's, I apologize if there is confusion. Anyway, you folks know the drill! Presales: Gotta keep the comic gods happy, so no pre-sales folks. I hope you understand. I am, however, happy to send you information on specific books or lists of what is available if you are interested, along with the approximate times said books will be listed. PMs: I will not be able to do any private message offers until the books have been place at least 2 hours. Also, I'm more likely to consider offers if you are taking four or more books.. Hi Friends. 1 book. At first sight I thought this was a VF book but having carefully scrutinised it I would give it a 7.0 Qualified. I have owned a few copies of this book and this is easily the best raw copy I've seen to date. The upside The book is firm and tightly bound. Pages are supple. The spine is lovely and plump with no stresses. It's obvious the book has never been pressed. Pages are off white. The downside The very last page has been very neatly razored out, God knows why. Having said that no damage has been caused to the book by this action apart from the annoyance of the missing page itself. $150 $135 £120 First in with $100. SHIPPING IN AS WELL Points to note: Shipping will be $10 from the UK but I will include tracking & sig confirmation/insurance at my cost. RETURNS: Yes. Unfortunately, they were average VG (give or take). Out of the group, there were about 7-10% Canadian Editions, 50% VG, 15% VG+ - F, 15% F+ or better and about 15% VF OR BETTER! There were some Jungle and Jumbo's that looked like they were printed yesterday! A LOT of white pagers as well ? With all that being said, I need some HELP! This is my first time purchasing comics like these in a group and I want to get them... My plan would be to spread them around and flip most of them to recoup my funds put out for purchase. I'd like to keep the majority of the best copies for my personal collection. So I ask; at what price per book would be a GREAT DEAL and what would be a MAX per book in order to accomplish what I'd like to do??? I know it is not the easiest to answer sight unseen, but with info provided, I believe the knowledge here can help me out. At least I am hoping to get some help...
