Hello, I recently received a few hundred or so old comics from a relative, with the intention of selling them for him, but I'm very much at a loss as to what will sell, and what will not. I think there's a few valuable ones, from looking at ebay sellers, as they are first issues, but I have no idea as to how to identify, grade and sell them? I have a high number of "Fantastic", "The Mighty Thor", "Doctor Strange Master of the Mystic Arts", "Captain America and Falcon", "The Invincible Iron Man", "The Titans", "X-Men", and a number of assorted 1st issue Atlas Comics such as "The Phoenix", "The Cougar" and "Son of Dracula" (and more) if that helps any. I'd really appreciate some help with all this, he's hoping that some of it is at least worth something, considering he's kept them, (and most in pretty good condition) from the 70's. I hope someone can help a newbie out! Thank you!

Hey friends!!! I'm brand new to selling comics and cards. I recently decided to dig my old stash out of the attic that I've been sitting on since the late 80's and early 90's. I feel like I've got some real winners in there. I'm just really really confused about how CGC works, and why the prices for some of the stuff I own varies so wildly on e-bay? Can anyone please give me a few pointers??

Folks who buy collections to break up and resell: What does your process look like? How, and at what point, do you cherry-pick, grade, identify pressing candidates, alphabetize, order by number, create bundles, scan/photograph, generate listings, etc? How do you optimize space utilization, time and cost efficiency, and cash flow/inventory turn? There's an extreme shortage of this type of information online (most of what's published on the topic being extremely general, and not intended for professional resellers), and I think many of us continue to needlessly reinvent the wheel. I'm sure this topic has been touched on here in the past, but I couldn't find anything that was really focused on workflow and efficiency. The more granular you're willing to get, the better. Photos and diagrams appreciated as well. Thanks in advance!

I own a CGC 5.0 Silver Surfer #3, 1st Mephisto. I’d like to have the profit for this book in my bank account. However, I’m aware of my possible extra profit if I’m patient and wait for a movie featuring him as the villain. So my question is: How much, based on trends, do you think I’d lose selling now OR at the height of his popularity? I’m not concerned about $300-500 as much as I am 1-2k. Thanks in advance!

Hello there I am a new member and a big longtime fan of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comics. I read many recommendations to sign up to this site from avid comic collectors online for advice, stories and selling. I have many Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Comics I would like to try and sell. I'm anxious to sell on eBay after reading some horror stories. How can I reach out to avid collectors of TMNT on this forum please? I admit that I am not too tech savvy and I hope I am not breaching any rules posting my first topic. -
Feel free to poke holes in this, this is just my take on where the highest prices seem to be coming for each era. This is mostly my experience as a buyer as I haven't done much selling. I have done quite a bit of research on Gocollect and GPA. One problem I know that both have is with eBay best offer sales. I sold a comic a couple years ago with the best offer option and the price listed on both Gocollect and GPA is $200 - $300 more than what I sold it for. I think they register the seller's first counter offer? The fixed price sales also seem out of whack but I am not positive about that. I ignore both. PLATINUM AGE - I HAVE NO CLUE GOLDEN AGE - COMICCONNECT (the percent of GA comics I win when bidding on CC seems to be the smallest) SILVER AGE - COMICLINK (the percent of SA comics I win when bidding on CL seems to be the smallest) BRONZE AGE - COMICLINK (the percent of BA comics I win when bidding on CL seems to be the smallest) COPPER AGE - EBAY? It seems to me that during the pandemic eBay has been getting some strong prices across the board but especially on copper and modern. I gave up on even searching for either on eBay. I gave up on even searching for either on eBay. Final thought - It seems like eBay has been fairly consistently bringing some very strong prices for Silver & Bronze ages during this pandemic. Maybe even a little better than ComicLink? Perhaps a bit lest consistent but I have seen some high GA prices as well. For some reason, it seems like eBay has seen the highest price increases since the pandemic began.

Hello all. I have collected the full run of 235 comics in the Savage Sword of Conan series (1974 - 1995). They are all, at a minimum, VG+ in condition and a high percentage of them are Fine and above. They are all individually boarded and bagged.and kept in special plastic magazine boxes (3). I am thinking about selling them with the least amount of work from my end (ha ha). 1.) Is Ebay the best way to do this...?? Or is there other sites more suitable for this...?? 2.) Should I sell them individually (requires tons of work) or as a complete set of 235 books, even if I get a bit less for them....??? Thank you.

Hello all! My Uncle passed away and left a massive comic book collection. I'm assisting my Aunt in selling off the collection as she neither knows nor cares anything about them. Personally, I've spent a lot of time selling off LEGO's and have some experience selling, but the comic marketplace is a completely new (and very different) challenge. I have some questions on a number of topics and really could use some help and advice; I've spent a lot of time studying some of the basic terminology and background of the comic marketplace, but I still have gaps in my understanding. What I have: A few thousand silver/gold age comics. I believe most are probably around the 0.5 - 5.0 scale, although there are a few issues that look absolutely beautiful (I have a Hero for Hire 1 that seems perfect to my untrained eye, but I'm sure an expert would probably mark it down far lower to ~ 6.0ish). Beyond that, I have tens of thousands of boxes with modern comics that I'm aware are almost all very incredibly cheap and not worth selling individually. I've also inventoried quite a bit of what I have. I'm listing the Book titles and the issue numbers, along with what equivalent copies sold for on eBay in the last 3 months. Moreover, I give an approximate estimation of how nice the comic looks to my (VERY) untrained eye. Notable examples are a really good Hero for Hire #1, Strange Tales #110, 169, Tales of Suspense #57, Fantastic Four #6, 8, 9, Incredible Hulk #3, 5, 6, etc. Questions: 1. What is the best platform to sell from? I've sold on eBay before, but eBay's fees are quite large. On Reddit, there is a LEGO marketplace community where people sell direct to buyers and avoid all eBay fees; is there any website that does something similar? Is there any store platform that allows individual sellers to list their items for cheaper fees than eBay? Finding any marketplace that's cheaper to sell on than eBay would be phenomenal, especially one tailored to comic books fans. 2. What is the value of pressing comics? Can pressing increase the grade on my comics, and is it worth the price? On which comics is it worth? My silver age books are in the 0.5-4.0 scale generally, and have far greater flaws than a few wrinkles. If pressing is worth it, when is it worth it? Should I press comics that sell for ~$50, or only press comics that sell for $300+? 3. The same question for CGC grading. As far as I can see, grading the books I have is going to cost ~$30 per book +shipping to and back. Will grading them be worth the very painful fees for lower graded books? Should some books be graded if they're key issues, or should I just upload pictures to eBay/whatever marketplace and let the customers decide? What is the cut off? Obviously a random $10 2.5 comic isn't worth the grading, but is a $50 book worth grading? 4. Thoughts shipping? So much value in comics seems to be keeping them in good condition, and I'm petrified of shipping the comics out and having them damaged in transition; however, I will be shipping tens of thousands of comics out soon and the shipping fees are certain to be astronomical. How do I reduce these prices? Are ULine Stayflats a safe way to ship a single comic or are they too flimsy? Are Gemini Comic Flash Mailers the best way to ship out small loads of comics? Are they the safest way to ship? 5. Any other advice? I can use almost any thoughts you have! Thank you all so much! This whole world is so new to me, and I could truly use help.

I picked up a collection of RBCC, ROCKET'S BLAST COMIC COLLECTOR, and I asked some friends where to sell the copiesI don't want/need and to my surprise they recommended CGC, so here I am. I'd like to know which forum would be the appropriate place to post, the related rules, and possibly suggestions of other places to sell them online. Yes, I know about Ebay, thanks. -
I have a modest collection of about 60 comics of the 50s/60s for sale. These include: Marvel, DC, Dell (several 4-colors and Westerns), Gold Key, Harvey, and some misc (Dennis the Menace, Air Boy). I've used the grading on a few, to try to help me with grading, to the best of my ability, and used the price charts, to help set prices for what I plan to sell. I've seen descriptions vary and the grading overlap. I've tried numerous online sites, and have been told they're not worth much, and not worth getting graded, so I would be selling these "officially as raw." I'm not expecting them to sell at top dollar, as I believe most to be between 2.0 - 5.5 (with a few maybe at 6.0 - 6.5). What I want to know is, how well can I expect from here, or anywhere else I'm looking to sell, to come close to the "graded value?" -
Hi Everyone, First time posting so bear with me. I'm a huge Marvel Guy and have been collecting since 2012. I have quite a big collection of comics in the five years I've been collecting. All of these comics are bagged and boarded and include DC and Indies as well. I'm looking to sell some of these collections if anyone is interested. Hi! Im new to this page. Im a artist. I been drawing on sketch covers for a couple years now. I have sold a few thur my webpage and instagram. But only a handful. I have a lot to sell. I priced them on the fact that some take forever to finish, size of the sketch and color or not. I know im not a name like famous comic book artists, but I seem to have people ask to buy one, I give them what I think is a good price, and they pass. Most of mine I have been starting at $40.00 more if its a bigger piece. Never gone pass $65.00. But for some reason Im not selling. I dont want to price them too high but I do spend up to 3 hours sometimes and very detailed. So im not sure. So my question is...i guess.... for a unknown artist what $$$ should I try to sell my stuff for?
