Good night!! I am not interested in selling, I do this to take care of my collection. I want to grade a sketch that they did for me on a white cover. Also, Ivanna Sakhno signed the cover for me. During the signing they gave me a certificate of authenticity from the signature (not from CGC). My questions are: Do you recommend me to send the comic to be certified? I understand that it would be a green label, but would the grade be lowered because of the autograph and the drawing? Second question, do I have to send the name of the artist who made my drawing so that it can be included in the description of the label? And last question, do I have to send the certificate of authenticity of Ivanna's autograph to check if CGC could authenticate it? I hope to have your answer, Thanks in advance.

Hello, the new Avengers Station in Vegas is the only store that is not under Disney contract and they have "new" comics that are certified hand stamp signature of Stan Lee using his Solvent DNA Ink. They have a Thor comic and a Rise of the Blank Panther Variant edition one comic as well. Has anyone heard of this before? The comic retail guy who said he is a comic grader mentioned that last year Stan Lee signed all these himself and only a limited amount. The picture is included. Thanks any info will help.

Hi there, first timer here looking to grade some books in my personal collection. I was lucky enough to receive an ashcan copy of Moon Man #1 signed by Kid Cudi at NYCC. Being that it's signed when i send it to be submitted do i need to select any special distinction? Its not certified he just signed and handed out a dozen or so copies at his panel. Thank you in advance for any advice!

I sent these two comics from my new collection off to my first ever submissions to CGC for the Mirka Andolfo in house signing and couldnt be more happier with the end result. now im new to collecting comics, and have a vague understanding of how comics can be valued due to artist/writer/if key or not/story or hero popularity. As far as these two gems, I have no clue how to even place a value due to having the remark added to their value. sure its kinda simple to gauge if its just the signature (comic value+ sig+ graded number) so i hope to turn to you veterans of the comic world for advice, your opinions on value and to also show off something im very proud to own. As to why im trying to value these is mainly to have a better understanding as well as to have a figure to insure them. so i look forward to hearing from you all and thank you for popping into this tread to spend some time reading my question.

Hello everyone, I hope you are doing well, I've recently joined this community and even posted a question not too long ago - and got some helpful informative answers regarding "The Killing Joke". It is already signed by both Mark Hamill and Kevin Conroy respectfully, however if I wanted to added Alan Moore's signature along with Brian Bolland - how would I do that without losing the Signature Series title? Does the CGC offer that service? Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Hello everyone! For those who are experts on the subject, what do you think about this signature? It was allegedly signed by Todd back in 1993 at a convention in NY. The book isn't mine, but I'd like to buy it.

If anyone can help, I have a CGC signature series Shang-Chi book already in a slab, but I really wanted to send it in to get it signed by Simu Liu. Since it will have to be taken out of the slab, will the original signature still be seen as verified? This might be a dumb question, but I don’t want to spend $230 just for the signature I already have on there to lose verification.

(Any chance we can just get a sticky for this or even start a pinned FAQ for the most asked questions?) The short version: CGC Signature Series | CGC Private Signings | CGC (cgccomics.com) "These labels will generally be issued only to items signed under the direct observation of a CGC representative. In select instances, CGC may accept signed books directly from the signer or publisher." The long version: Signature Series (yellow) label will only be given for books witnessed by authorized CGC reps. The only exception is in the case of creators directly submitting books along with creator forms to CGC. Books previously submitted for signature series can be cracked under the supervision of an authorized CGC rep, signed by another creator, and re-slabbed to maintain a signature series label. Emphasis on "under the supervision of an authorized CGC rep". Any yellow label books cracked without proper supervision will break the chain of witnesses and the original signature will no longer qualify for signature series. Unwitnessed books with a COA do not qualify for a yellow label. Any unwitnessed signed books will be graded as a Qualified (green) label as though the signature was not there. You can also submit for a blue label, but the signature will count as damage and lower the grade of the book. Why is this CGCs policy? Because it's the only way to ensure the authenticity and integrity of the Signature Series program.

Hi! Forgive me if this has been asked... I tried searching but couldn't really find anything, and I'm still pretty new to the boards: Is it possible to submit already sketched/signed books by a guest that will be attending CGC In-House events? I know that it might be a little extra work, but I'd be willing to pay extra especially for an artist to recognize a sketch they have done for me and sign an affidavit to verify it for a Yellow CGC-Signature series label. I realize there might be a little more risk of forgery submitting books with just the signatures, but I have to believe that sketches are harder to fake. Any thoughts? Thanks! Jay

First time poster, so if this is the WRONG board, I apologize! I'm just getting into the hobby of getting signed comics, and of course, I pick Jack Kirby as one of my first goals. I've done a good bit of reading and looking at confirmed signatures, the DF comics, etc...however, I haven't seen anything that kind of chronicles things to look for in fakes of his signature. I've seen the terrible knock off ones which bear no resemblance to his signature, but picking out the key things that all genuine ones possess has been elusive. For example, here's one I've looked at recently which in some ways compares favorably, but in other ways it looks fake to me (the "y" and the dot at the top of the "b" like it was start/stop). Does this one look genuine? The quick opinion from PSA/DNA was "likely genuine", but I know its still up in the air til they had it in-hand. I guess I'm looking for both opinions on this one, and what qualities or red flags tend to be rules with his autographs. Thanks!!

For sale is my Star Wars #1 CGC Signature Series 6.0 signed by: Carrie Fisher David Prowse Ian McDiarmid Anthony Daniels I collected these signatures over a few trips to the Calgary Expo. The allure of this book isn't the condition, but the signatures. I'm somewhat reluctant to sell it, but my daughter wants to start learning to play the Koto (Japanese harp) and the price of the instrument is a little higher (now quite a bit since price drop) than what I'm asking for this book. It is very difficult to put a price on this book. I'm basically going to price it at what it cost me to get it signed and submitted for all of the signatures plus a little bit. UPDATE: With price drop, I'm pretty much selling this at cost of what I put into the book. Price= $999 $899 $799 USD shipped to the US and CANADA. Paypal accepted. First on the threads trumps all PM negotiations. No returns Feel free to PM me with offers. On a side note, Carrie Fisher was an awesome person to meet. She was absolutely hilarious, honest, and a wonderful spokesperson for mental health issues. She is sorely missed.

2020 Noob question. Jim Shooter is lined up for the CGC signature series and he has credits for scripts, editor/editing, and Editor/Editor-in-Chief. What I've not been able to determine is there any 'value' to his signature as the "Editor/Editor-in-Chief" vice editor/editing an issue or series?

Hi everyone, I hope everyone is safe and well. Is this possible... Can I submit a comic for the CGC In-House Private Signing with seminal X-Men writer Chris Claremont and then while my comic is still at CGC have it submitted for the Jim Shooter CGC In-House Private Signing. I ask cause I might not receive the comic back in time for me to submit it to the Jim Shoot signing. Has anybody done this before? If this is possible how would I do it? Thanks.

Will CGC accept an authentication agency like James Spence Authentication? I had my comic signed and sent off for grading the same day at the 2016 Silicon Valley Comi-Con and with it being my first time ever getting a comic with a signature graded I was unaware that I needed an official CGC witness till after the fact, I thought the receipt was the proof, when I sent it in for grading. So my question is if I have the signature authenticated with a professional authentication agency like James Spence would you guys upgrade the comic to reflect the signature as authentic?

Hey everyone. I bought a copy of Uncanny X-Men 168 the other day and when I opened it, there looked to be a Chris Claremont signature inside. It was not labeled as such by the store I got it from, so I looked it up to see if it looked authentic. It didn’t look like most of the other signatures I found, but not many I saw looked alike either. I decided to come here and seek as many outside opinions as possible. Here is a picture of it, let me know what you think.
