Just one book for this week which I didn't list in my last sales thread since I wanted to keep it all Golden Age, without further ado... Swamp Thing #10 CGC 9.4 - Signature Series, Signed by Bernie Wrightson (in gold ink) White Pages Last Bernie Wrightson issue. Goes without saying that if you wanted to have a book signed by Wrightson, this was the series to get it done on - and finding signed copies is getting rather hard (especially ones with decent looking signatures. I've seen many signed with black ink over top heavy black covers making it very hard to see) This was one of my favourite covers of his Swamp Thing run, and his signature is positioned well over the amazing art. He signed in gold ink, and it was rather hard for me to photograph - but when you have it in hand it shimmers in the light much like the new CGC pedigree labels do. GPA shows a signature series 7.5 of this issue last sold in April this year for $870, and the signed 9.8 went for a steal at $1650 last year...but since I enjoy chaos how about... $650 SOLD VIA PM

Should I get this book pressed before i send for grading? The crease on the back cover (shown in photo) is a manufacturer error i guess? Its a really tight copy, the book is clean and white inside.

Ok, first the Rules. No bad people, HOS or Probationers. First unconditional in the thread wins, trumps all PM agreements. Shipping is $15 USPS Priority in US for up to 2 books and then double for each additional 2 books (Sorry, I don't know of any way to safely pack more than 2 slabs at a time yet), and will be a discussion for overseas and Canada, eh. Payment is PayPal, Personal Check (has to clear before book will be sent out) and Money Order (also has to clear before book sent out). No returns on CGC Slabs Reasonable offers and reasons for offers always listened to! Forgot to mention, NONE OF THESE WERE PRESSED! All were submitted raw by me and never seen the inside of a press. Hello friends, For the first time, I've uploaded all 45 pages of Bernie Wrightson's pencil art for "Swamp Thing: Deja Vu" for your enjoyment and purchase consideration: http://www.comicartfans.com/galleryroom.asp?gsub=16017 Len Wein and Bernie Wrightson reunited in the mid-1980s for a return engagement on Swamp Thing. "Deja Vu" was to be a three issue, fully painted prestige format comic. Combining elements of their original conception and Alan Moore's revamp, Len Wein said that Deja Vu was one of the best things he'd ever written. Bernie completed the initial pencils, and was working on refining some tight pencil pages (see page five here) in advance of the painting process, when he had an existential crisis and decided that you can never go home again... shelving the project. Deja Vu is an amazing story, and it's all here, readable in Bernie's art and margin notes. The first half of the story has fun, even joyous adventure elements. The second half revisits Swamp Thing's origin from 1972 from a new perspective, and the plot takes a poignant and emotional turn, as horror and violence elements follow the pathos arising in the middle of the book. Truly great stuff, and worth reading in its entirety, even if you're not interested in following my twenty year caretaker position by adding the story to your collection, and being its caretaker for the next twenty years. As this story has been kept together for thirty years, my goal is to keep Deja Vu intact and sell it together as one book. I paid $250 per page for this art in the 1990s. I'm taking offers starting at $555 a page in 2018 (IE $25K for the whole book). That's pretty good for Wrightson Swampy art, and an opportunity to add a piece of history to your collection! So I just found and purchased this copy of the Swamp Thing sourcebook/adventure for the DC Heros RPG by Mayfair Games Inc. circa 1991. However, I didn't know that it was sealed until it arrived and now I'm hesitant to open it and am considering having it graded. It has credits including Alan Moore and Len Wein and it looks to be in decent condition except for some wear around the edges. Comically, it does have a dead bug trapped at the very bottom of cover behind the plastic, but I also thought that may be viewed as a health liability by the CGC. I can find no record of one having been graded before and I thought it'd be appropriate to trying having it done. It isn't a comic or a magazine, but I can't image the CGC refusing it for that reason. If nothing else, it'd be great to have some more experienced opinions on the matter. Thank you.
