Did anyone else here pick up a copy or 2 or 3 of Blitmap? They had it at NYCC this year (I didn't attend) and it just released at local shops this past Wednesday. So, it's a sci-fi story about 2 artificial (robot) "races" of people: the Blitnauts and the Logos, both generally untrusting of each other and at odds. But then a 3rd race shows up, the Static, that is apparently a threat to the other 2. Will they set aside their differences to face this new enemy? Or something like that. I dunno yet, since only 1 issue is out. The story is OK. I'm interested enough to keep going. But there are a couple of other pretty awesome things about the book. Number one, the IP is "open source." Basically you can use the characters, world, setting, etc. freely if you'd like to make your own stories, merchandise, etc. You just can't reproduce a copy of the exact comic book they've printed. Who knows if anyone will care enough to actually do it, or how big it will get, but it's a neat concept anyhow. But here's the big deal for collectors, and I'm sure many issues will end up being slabbed. Every single issue has an exclusive, one-of-a-kind cover. They call it a collaboration between their artists and "algorithms." If you've ever heard of the card game Keyforge, I imagine the technology used there is similar. All the art is made by an actual artist, not AI. There are 7 different base designs for Issue 1, but various aspects are all changed via algorithm, including background, zooming, colors, accessories on characters, clothing, facial expressions, etc. It's a pretty novel idea and the covers are genuinely cool. It has a $4.99 cover price and it comes in a foil polybag so you can't see what cover is inside. Again, every cover is unique! It's pretty awesome! And the quality of the book is actually GOOD, like the physical quality. Much better than your standard Marvel $4.99 books. Titan publishes the book. I've attached a pic of the 2 covers I got locally. But I'm kind of hooked so I ordered 5 more copies online. LOL. Here's a YT video they made that kind of explains things a bit. If you bought any, share your covers here!

Hey everyone, I'm selling the original cover variant cover artwork to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #142. This cover art was for an exclusive variant cover edition available only at the Fanboy Expo Orlando in September 2023. The cover was pencilled by Noah Sult and inked by me, Jason Moore. This cover was inked traditionally over a "redline" printout of Noah's pencils. I've attached a scan of the original artwork so you can see the "redline" behind the inking, the pencils so you can see how the piece was pencilled (Pencil artowrk is not included in this sale) and a color version of the final artwork for reference. It measures the standard 11x17 on Strathmore Bristol Board. I'm asking $2,000 but might consider full trade for interesting 70's / 80's independent comics original art or even partial payment/trade. Thanks for looking and if you have any questions at all, please feel free to contact me! Jason

Hi folks, I'm not a fan/collector of variants and error/recalled editions of comics, so I'm hoping those of you who are can help me out with this fun little find of mine. I recently purchased a lot of 150 or so variant comics from a local. Most were exclusive editions, including many relatively rare ones and foil editions. In the collection was the coveted NYCC Exclusive Gold Foil Wonder Woman #1 Rebirth Jim Lee variant pictured below. Cool find, right? Well, it's even more exciting because I just realized yesterday that my copy is an error version, with the silver foil back cover, instead of gold. Learn more about the error here. So far so good. I know what I'm dealing with. Where I need info is in regards to the extra white cover attached to the book that you see below. Were the copies distributed like that to protect the covers, then removed before being given/sold to the public? If not, then I think I have a promo copy. As it turns out, the seller told me these came straight from the printer back in the day, and there are a handful of books in the lot with this extra cover. I've scoured the internet and have yet come across another copy WITH this white cover on it. So, can anyone shed some light on this? I'm sure there are many of you who are in a place to know how these books arrive from the distributor. Thanks in advance!

Not to long ago a podcast that I co-host on had a variant comic book cover produced. I really enjoyed the process and a little shocked at how easy it was for us to do. I just created a blog post and a youtube video walking through the steps we took to get our variant cover made. I hope some of you here will find this useful. I image store owners or even other podcasters might.
