How NOT to package your comics to send through the mail

So I bought a small lot of 20 comics on eBay. Nothing too valuable, but still a decent set of books in probably VF-ish condition.

 

I really don't know what to tell you all, but this is the box they arrived in. At least they smell slightly of strawberry.

Yeah, that's a thought....but then the comics wouldn't have had that fresh strawberry smell.

 

It was seriously so retarded that it was (and still is) funny. What makes it even better is that this is not the first time I've seen something like this. About 3 years ago a guy sent me some stuff in a Milk-Bones box.

 

Yes, it was shipped from Canada....thus all the French on the box.

Also got a CGC mailed in two manilla folders. Of course it was cracked all over the place and I had to get it re-holdered for the then $7.00.

I lucked out on a CGC book from England in a non-paded manilla folder, not one crack.

 

On the other hand a person just sent me 2 mint OAAW's in a mailla folder with cardboard, let's just say they are not mint anymore!

My worst one was a stack of then-NM ASM issues (including a 300) that the seller simply wrapped in brown paper and mailed.

 

I'll take a cereal box over that any day.

When I was 15 I got a set of James Bond videos sent in a beer box...
