CGC Sizes

Is there more than one CGC size? I am a custom framer that sells frames for (among others) CGC encapsulated comics. I currently frame CGCs for a size of 7 7/8" x 12 5/8".

 

I have a customer who has a Golden Age CGC that tells me that it is a different size from other CGCs that he has.

 

Is there a listing someplace of width/height and thickness of other CGC's.

The actual dimensions of the holder are the same BUT we have two different size thicknesses. 7/16 of an inch thick and 5/8 of an inch thick.

I have an additional question related to this topic.

 

At what page count does the slab thickness increase? I have 36 pagers in the thin slab and 64 pagers in the thick ones, but what about 42 pagers? 46 pagers? 52 pagers?

There are no set standards. It is which ever inner well an individual book fits into best. One book with say 42 pages might fit in a thin slab and another 42 page book with a card stock cover might have to go into a thick slab. It depends on the inner well and the thickness of the individual book.
