Halloween

I don't know if anyone else is doing this, but I decided this year I would give away comic books to promote reading. So I went and purchased 100 copies of the 9 cent issue of Fantastic Four (ya I'm cheap).

 

I know it might be a little late for everyone to run out and do this too, but I thought I would mention it on the off chance one or two of you might be able to pull it off.

 

Everyone knows that we have to get those youngsters reading comics again. And besides, there are only so many articles in porn magazines, let's get these kids reading something else too...

This is something I floated as an idea in a recent column, although I knew it was hardly original. But obviously I think it's a wonderful idea to give out comics for Halloween.

Ppl can also give away overstock fr that long box of Valiant/Image bks in the basement. Your neighbor's kids will think u r rich handing out $2 comics as they walk by the Honda in the driveway.

I gave out stacks of Bloodshot last year and got egged but good.

Yeah, we canucks have halloween too. We just don't get many kids as you because of the distance between the igloos.

Anyone has the balls to drive 18 miles, jump my gate, walk across two acres past my dogs and knock on my door can have my collection.

Err, what kind of dogs do you have?

I have a 100 lb. male German Shepherd and a 60 lb. female Red Healer that's still recovering from a fight she was in with a Mountain Lion, the lion lost and is on it's way to wall over my fire place. The Shepherd looks mean, but the Healer is mean.

 

The local power company guy reads our electric meter with binoculars.
