Yes sir! None of my sig line books are MLJs, but I can share this photo I took a while back as further admission into the club. The set is complete for me as I stopped when the humor covers started.

:ohnoez:woowhoo! It landed! Gorgeous copy; congrats JF! :golfclap::golfclap::golfclap:

What will become of that nifty undercopy? hm:devil:

:cloud9:

Thanks Gene!

Well as I said, the case has a three inch scratch on it which wasn't in the listing and it is bothering me. It goes from the bottom of the G to the top of the H in JUGHEAD. You can't see the scratch in the photo I've attached, but it's there! I contacted the seller about it so who knows the under copy may become my regular copy again :sorry:

Why not just reholder?

Well, I am suggesting just that, but the fellow wants me to return it or nothing, which normally would not be an issue, but it took three weeks+ to arrive and I paid a 90$ duty to import the book so I don't want to loose that money for nothing.

I guess I was just thinking spend a couple $20's to send it to Fla for the reslab, but shipping to and from from your local I guess is not insignificant. Then again, how many of these are on census, and how high is 6.0 in the scheme of things? (Pretty high, I'm thinking.) It's not an every day commodity book so I would probably keep it and reslab, but I am going to peek at the census and answer my own rhetorical question.

I don't know why reholder becomes such  big issue. List the scratch on the case if you want to avoid this!!!

Agreed, seller should have disclosed. I just mean with 55 graded and 6.0 well up the ladder, I'd rather spend more on reholdering myself than returning it. Less irksome of two irksome options, but rare bird is in hand.

You're 100% correct. It is one of those big picture moments!

Turns out the seller is really cool and once I suggested the reholder, and made it clear what exactly that was, he didn't know, he was open to it, in fact he said that is a great solution and offered me 50$ instead of the reholder. I said the 15$ beholder fee would be sufficient. So I am glad that we are on the same page!

Nice one Walter :applause:The early Wizard TN covers (before his 'Robin', Roy and later the Black Hood came along) are really nice and don't get the 'love' the later ones do.

One has to wonder if he and Timelys 'Angel' with their mustaches were inspired by matinee idols of the day Clark Gable and Douglas Fairbankshm

Since I focus on WWII covers, I picked up a Top Notch #2 for the swastika cover.  Then came #3 and #4.  At that point, I decided to get the mini run from #1 to #7 which all feature the Wizard.  Added a #27 because it’s a war cover.  Sometime, I’ll get together a group shot.

I agree that the mustache is probably a nod to (what was at the time) current fashion sense and silver screen stars.
