List of Classic Covers, designated by Overstreet and/or CGC
3 3

I have decided to use this thread to compile an editable list of classic comic covers, as designated by Overstreet and/or CGC. All titles and issues that are post Golden Age are put in italics. Comics that are designated by CGC as classic, but not by Overstreet, are put bold. Let me know about any errors. If you have a graded comic that CGC says is a classic cover, but not on the Overstreet list, post a picture and I'll add it to the list. Who knows, perhaps the registry will wind up using the list as a separate "set." Thanks, --Joe

So, is there a comic cover you know doesn't make the list, but you think it should? Don't use this thread to comment, but instead jump to this thread:

Great list. Personally, I'd add Cap #110 if it were up to me.

God, I hate you.

beers are on you for that one, homie.

I was just gonna ask you if you wanted to hit Happy Hour tomorrow.

This is a good idea for a list, but the classification of covers as "classic" by Overstreet is so hit-or-miss your list will be limited, and mostly cofined to the GA.

For example, in the SA many first appearances are not listed as classic covers, apparently because the guide has other things to talk about in its text. But is AF15 not a classic cover? FF 1? BB 28? Those are all classic covers, and there are many others.

It seems like the concept of a classic cover is a GA thing, but it really shouldn't be.
