Fresh in today, low grade but it was cheap.  Unusually for the title, it has a non-reprint story.  Even more unusually, it was a Robert E. Howard fantasy.  I thought pretty much any fantasy of his that wasn't published during or shortly after his life got edited into a Conan story by others.  I'm looking forward to reading it.  There's also a Lovecraft collaboration in the issue; they still credit it to Hazel Heald but in the intro they say "Her stories are considered part of the true saga of the Lovecraft tales, and it is certain the hand of the master was laid quite heavily over these pages."   Not really subtle...

Always a fan of this story. I remember the 1974 TV movie and the Marvel comics adaptation.

And this just arrived today.  I should have gotten it with the other two issues I posted on the 16th, but the seller made a mistake.  Great response, though, so absolutely zero complaints.  This one, in addition to the Bradbury story, has a couple Lovecraft poems:

This was the mistake, he sent the Jan 46 instead of the Jan 47 issue by accident.  We worked out a deal where I kept the book at a discount, and of course shipping was already covered.  A beautiful copy other than a faded spine; I REALLY didn't feel like letting this one go once I had it in hand.  The list of writers on this one is practically a who's who of Weird Tales creators:

I purchased that issue and 7 others from a big box of Argosy mags.  They were all pretty nice but I didn't have room for more in my motorcycle bag.  There are a lot of early issues with ERB stories hidden inside.
