They are making a decision on whether or not to delay Windy City.   From what I’m reading and it keeps updating every five minutes, almost every sports league and professional and amateur, conventions, concerts are cancelling or postponing,  as well as schools in various areas both in the United States and Canada

Remember, the average age of pulp collectors is right in the target zone of the virus.  If even one person contracts the virus while they are there, can you imagine the fallout and ramifications (negative press, or worse) of this choice.  
 

I love the Windy City show and I would be just sick if I wouldn’t go, but the choice of keeping people safe is the most important thing.

I hope it doesn't get cancelled, but I would certainly understand if it did considering the current climate.  I've attended the last several years and it's a fantastic, intimate show with an old school feel.

This isn't a pulp but I picked up Weinberg Tales at last years Windy City Convention from Phyllis Weinberg (I only met her the one time but I can't think of a sweeter, more friendly individual). It's a fantastic read about Bob Weinberg, and his journey of tracking down, buying and trading for original pulp and fantasy art.

Some wonderful stories (a particular favorite is Sam Moskowitz rescuing a bunch of original Frank R Paul cover paintings from a dumpster that were being thrown away by by Hugo Gernsback), and it involves a who's who of early sci-fi and fantasy collectors. Highly recommended.

My first Conan cover Weird Tales (12/35), not high grade but that’s OK because I’m going to read it - Robert E. Howard’s famed The Hour of the Dragon begins in this issue. Nice pages, too.

Just picked up my Bedrock books. Very sharp and happy all around. The Planet and Aug 33 Weird Tales are upgrades. I'm actually getting to the point where i'll have undercopies to throw on the bay

So I added two more issues of Amazing Stories to the 1/34 issue that I previously posted. Covers by Leo Morey who drafted the classic Centaur ‘Fantom of the Fair’ cover for Amazing Mystery Funnies 2/10.

I’m especially interested in the Triplanetary series here because “Doc” Smith later re-worked it as a Lensman prequel. Good stuff.
