A handful in today.  They really went all out on the 25th anniversary issue of Weird Tales, a very impressive collection of talent.  Bradbury's story is "The October Game", which I think is probably the most outright horror story (as opposed to dark fantasy) he ever did.  All the more scary because there's nothing supernatural or fantastic at all in it.

I'm almost done putting together the run of "Herbert West- Reanimator" reprints in Weird Tales.  Not 100% sure why I'm bothering, other than general principles... despite the story's fame (because of the movies), it's generally regarded as one of Lovecraft's poorest works.

So my LCS is open again, at least for curbside pickup.  I told the owner to grab me one of the $10 Argosies out of the box I've been working through for months to go with my one comic for the past month.  This is the one that he pulled out; has a part of Burroughs "The War Chief".  Just a beautiful copy, the Argosies in the box have been variable condition but I think this one is the best yet:

One thing about the premiums, they might be harder to find, but once you do, you are done. I will NEVER have all the Weird Tales pulps I would like to...

That is a great premium.  I have only seen it come up for sale/auction 2-3 times before, and that is over a 20 year span!!    It is very scarce and cool!....👏👏👏

You are right about premiums, they are ultra scarce and ultra cool!!!

In some cases you might have the only known example in existence.  With many of them, there are only two or three known examples  in existence!!

I wonder if anyone has a complete run of Argosy. It went through a lot permutations in its 96 year history, with some eras no doubt of little interest to collectors of other eras.

Finally picked up another ultra rare Shadow item.

The large 1.75”, “Shadow Member Club”  Radio Button is sponsored by Celotex Rock Wool in Hutchinson, KS....(circa. approx. 1947) and is in absolutely beautiful condition!

There are a total of 4 known examples of this in existence!

Hakes description says the button is 1944 but I initially thought that it was produced around late 1945 - early 1947.  My assumption is thought to be  somewhat correct and verified as much as possible through research done by Martin Grams.

The thought is that the button is most likely from late 1946 to early 1947..ish!

I actually just picked this up, from a person that specializes selling in old paper,  in Kansas.  He found it a local listing for $15.00, just last week.

I absolutely love this button and it’s similar to the one I used to have, except this newly acquired one is in a little sharper condition, close to perfect! 

**Martin Grams did checked his research information and wrote:

“Celotex Rock Wool was a type of insulation for the”house”.

Martin goes on to say that it’s from the late 1946 the early 1947.   I have a detailed explanation with details  his  research I can give to somebody if they are interested.

I'll never have all the Weird Tales I want either but I finally manned up and picked up one I had to have. I remember buying Conan 58 off the newsstand as a teenager and me and all my friends fell in love with Buscema's Belit. Brundage, 1st cover with Conan, great author/story line up and nice bright colors. It's a keeper for me.

Nice color as well. I've really come to appreciate deep colors on pulps. There are so many that look dull and lifeless.

Here's my mail call today, another inexpensive war cover. It's hard to beat a Kuttner/Moore story, and a red DeSoto cover with a GI punching a Nazi in the face, a male harpy and a babe over a futuristic city background.

At first I thought the right edge was trimmed but it looks too perfect and appears to be wrapped to the back with an outsized overhang on the rear. Any expert opinion would be appreciated.
