Have mostly bought the books in my PC already slabbed, but have started subbing more of my own, particularly for sig series. Have learned a lot from this forum about proper window-bagging for sigs (to keep as high-grade as possible!), being deliberate about placement and color of pen, etc. Most of these books are for my PC, though may end up selling some down the road so nice to have gotten nearly all 9.8s. Am a big fan of Donny Cates, and have been reading most of his books (Marvel and creator-owned) week by week. Finally was able to get a bunch of my books signed by him at NYCC this year (and others at Fan Expo Canada). Sorry for the bad photos, need to get a scanner. Big Donny Cates run coming (really enjoying his Redneck and Babyteeth creator-owned on-goings books now). Basically have been reading all his books weekly when they've come out post-God Country (inc. Thanos and Dr Strange runs, current Venom) My first 9.9! Have never felt the urge to pay the premium to buy 9.9's, but sure is nice when you sub them yourself! Am a huge Tom King fan (previously subbed his Vision #1 and Omega Men #1 variants and Mister Miracle #1, all series which I loved) and read most of his books weekly. I loved this book (bought the 2nd print as a "coffee table book") - I actually gave it to my wife to read, who thinks this obsession is weird, but read it and thought it was very good and (hopefully) got a small glimpse of why I still read comics. Bummer that Tom's signature got a bit smudged, probably combination of glossy cover and nearly-dead sharpie! One of the "iconic" books of my childhood (yes, I grew up in the late 80's/90's, and early 90's was my peak childhood collecting days. I remember when this book came out and it was "so crazy" haha. I actually acquired a raw Gold version of this (the 1:150 or 1:200, the sketch cover which looks cooler is 1:100), but I could tell it would be more a 9.2 area, and so decided to get the regular version for my PC. I know I should slab what I want, especially if for PC, but (maybe as a consequence to time on this forum) I strongly dislike modern slabs <9.6 hah! Somewhat different take on the "Vampire" story which many have done - more personal, character-driven, with just a bit of the typical Donny Cates "silliness" that he has in most of his books.
