Hi,

I just started slabbing recently and while going through my collection, happened to come across my own copy of cover #272 bound to a 2nd printing of #270. Do all 'manufacturing errors' receive the green Qualified label? Would the existence of more than 1 occurrence of this error constitute to a blue Universal label? Just not sure what's the difference between manufacturing errors (receiving a Qualified label) as opposed to printing errors (receiving a blue Universal label, e.g. Venom Lethal Protector black cover)?

Was considering to submit mine for encapsulation but would it help to reference this instance (i.e. more than one copy exists, but can't read/make out the number)?

Thanks for reading!

That's cool :)

I don't know if all manufacturing errors get the green label. Ebay listings for CGC error books show an inconsistent approach from what I can see. They should in theory be green, as having a different interior in your comic would surely represent a 'significant defect that needs specific description', wouldn't you say?

A bit of dodgy foil application gets one:

Give them a ring, see what the say  :)

This pence Conan has a dodgy cut.

And if you look closely, the top line is blue instead of the purple the rest of the cover is.

Cents copy is more consistent....

...but on this copy you can almost see it starting to run out...

I spotted this error a while back, and saved the two images from eBay.  At the comic fair yesterday, one dealer had a copy on his table. I smiled in recognition having just posted the above, picked it up, and there was a second copy underneath. One of each type.

What are the chances?

here it is the book is supposed to be black and white but the error is that some of the pages were mistakenly inked in color.

Cool. Here's a comparison picture from ebay:

Years ago I saw one on ebay that had a blue label. (shrug)

Spotted this on ebay - it's one of my old printing error labels. What are the chances. I don't remember selling mine for that much though. Because I was watching it, the seller / ebay kindly sent me an offer at £150!

Praise the Lord for the gift of laughter... :eyeroll:

Hello...Been a member for a bit but never really post...well I did a few times in the spare a grade section years ago but the board upgrade wiped out my history...

Anyway has anyone seen an error like this before? The cover has been attached upside-down...I read earlier in this thread about a Betty & Veronica with a glued cover like this but there was no pics & I haven't found any other examples here or on the google...I am just wondering how rare something like this is.

Thanks for your thoughts!
