Dr. Love
Romita romance, midgrade or better, is hard to come by. Undervalued, at least until this year. That Heart Throbs 79 went for a pretty price, but it's a beautiful piece of work, one of his best. 1950's war comics
Dr. Love
I've thrown out a thesis before - Spidey was doomed to fail under Ditko. Great idea, so so execution. Romita exploded it in no small part due to Gwen and MJ hotness. Expertise gained through years of anonymous toil doing DC romance and only DC romance, day after day after day. Kinda blown away by the prices for those... I was the underbidder. Was hoping it'd go cheap not being a saunders cover...

I feel like the Atomic 4 and Flying Jenny covers are both Iger shop with some Karen and Baker mixed in with the Atomic 4 more Baker and the Flying Jenny more Kamen. I'm having to expand my romance focus because of these newbie Baker collectors digging into an already scarce supply. The Romita romance is awesome, but according to HA auction archives it appears that prices are way down (look at My Love #1). Maybe with the heat on Baker, collectors like me are shifting their focus to the next best thing? I was more interested in some of the others over HT79. Secret Hearts 78 and 90 are more appealing to me. I did win that nice Colletta Love Romances 43.

szav
Here's another super strong finish for a no longer under the radar Baker book, Nightmare 13. A year or two ago I found a few VGs in the $50-100 range... don't know when this auction happened, just noticed it now. http://www.comiclink.com/itemdetail.asp?back=%2Fsearch_adv.asp%3Fall%3Dy%26TITLE%3Dnightmare%26TITLEOPT%3DALL%26ISSUE%3D13%26Condition%3D%26ConditionTo%3D%26CensusRank%3D%26SearchPageQuality%3D%26Pedigree%3D%26PRICEF%3D%26PRICET%3D%26DESCRIPTION%3D%26DESCRIPTIONOPT%3DALL%26SearchRemarks%3D%26SearchCGC%3D%26EXCLUDE%3D%26CATEGORIES%3D-1%26WCATEGORIES%3D-1%26SORT%3DCATEG%26_where_forsale%3Dy%26_where_auctions%3Dy%26x%3D0%26y%3D0%26where_forsale%3Dy&id=1265529
