Sqeggs
Nice! All three books are tough in those grades.
Popular Post Bumble Kitty
Here's another one that came back from CGC earlier this year. I bought it from a national dealer (many years ago) who graded it as VF+. On receipt, I figured it was closer to F/VF, because of the back cover. Just prior to slabbing, I really looked for defects and I felt CGC would give it a 6.5. comicjack, PeterPark, MBFan and 5 others

Popular Post Bumble Kitty
I bought this one a while back. It was one of those times where I was so excited to buy it that I overlooked some obvious defects. So prior to slabbing, my heart sank when I looked at the back cover. I figured it would get a 5.0, but CGC really hammered it. Oh well, the nicest 4.5 I have ever seen. pmpknface, archiefan, szav and 6 others

Love how you've got a complete little story in the background. 1950's war comics

Always love to see 'em. Bob, things have really slowed down for me on the Baker front as I just can’t find the right books at the right price. I was hoping to add 50 Bakers a year to my collection and did so in 2016 and 2017, but only 30 additions so far in 2018. Enthusiasm remains as strong as ever though. Popular Post Sqeggs
Obscure Bakers for $500, Alex. Contains a reprint of a Baker story from Northwest Mounties 2. Only one copy on the census, which indicates either scarcity or indifference. But it is a St John from 1952 and it does have Baker GGA and it was cheap and ... how many excuses do I need for getting it? pmpknface, archiefan, szav and 2 others

Popular Post Bumble Kitty
This just came in today. I tried to sell it raw at SDCC this year and I had no takers. I even received one disparaging remark about the book. I had graded it as VG. So I submitted it for grading (straight sub, no pressing) and I braced for a grade of 3.0 to 3.5, because CGC had been hard on my last few submits. Plus I had no interest from others in the book. So look what CGC thought... Edited December 4, 2018 by Bumble Kitty szav, pmpknface, 29dukedog and 3 others
