Turned this up in the junk pile today. A must have for Baker collectors. Almost 60 pages of info, rare photos, cover reproductions and info on Baker. Probably a lot of unknown info to many of you. Well worth searching out if you don’t have a copy.

Of special note, I found out what this pinback button was. I'd had one for years. Ted Hake thought it was some kind of super hero but no one seemed to know exactly what it was. Thanks to this mag, I now know and was very happy to find out about.

I try to get at least a couple of Baker books graded each year at SDCC since they make it so easy to drop something off. Usually under-copies to use later as trade bait or just enjoy without risk of handling. I’m leaning towards these three this year. Good enough to slab?

I have romance too but I like these covers as a change of pace. Still got over a month to decide though. Getting my copies of Nightmare graded has moved up since the prices seem to be pretty strong now and it’s a great cover so I may take more of these.

Anyone know if the Baker romance is hotter right now than his other genres like the above?

This all looks like cold garbage not worth slabbing.  Sell it to your favorite boardies  fast while you can still get a meal or two out of em.

So you’re voting for me to dig into my Baker romance books instead? hm

Just being a smart@&$.  I personally don’t watch Baker romance... I don’t like it enough at the prices to go after them.  Blasphemy I know.

Give me, Baker war, western, adventure etc all day though.

I guess Baker romance is hotter in that those books are still pricier... but non romance is hotter in terms of how fast it’s rising in value percentage wise.

Not romance but here’s a couple of books with Baker that I’m on the fence if they are worth slabbing. Cool covers at least.

Problem is I have some LB Cole stuff that needs to hit the plastic too. But these two are next in line if I can find a way to work them in with the rest of my books at SDCC. Sadly can’t bring them all down at one time.

Has anyone ordered these Gwandanaland compilations? Any good?

I ordered one of the Firehair ones.  I was pretty  disappointed.  There’s no organization to it, no table of contents or index, no indication which comics each story came from.  No indication that it’s laid out in any chronological order.

They made no effort to use decent copies to get scans from, several pages are downright discolored and blurry.  All in all a really low budget and amateurish effort by whoever put these together.  I won’t order another one from them.

:whatthe:These are your under copy “trade bait” copies?

I am of the school that his better non romance books are really heating up right now. APC, for years, was a dead title, Baker cover or not. I scooped up as many as I could at great prices in nice grades. Just can’t touch them any more. I think the folks that chase the romance ones have gotton wise to this now.
