The Rocky Mountain CGC 7.0 just sold on C-link for $38k... Thoughts? Pretty fast for the one who pulled the trigger.

I just looked at this and was going to post about it...does anyone know what it sold for originally? I seem to recall it sold for closer to $50K (shrug)

Here's a scan...

I suspect the book is going "under the lights" for a little cosmetic work... should return as a 7.5 or higher, otherwise, who the heck pays 25% more than current FMV on the book (shrug)

So, does it lose the pedigree status when unslabbed by non CGC human hands ? (shrug)

It's not a Pedigree... :makepoint: It's a Collection.

I agree, this copy has a chance for and upgrade. There has been three 7.0 in the market. Peewee22, Swapto, and Rocky Mountain. Swapto 7.0 had a nice PQ, but was not as nice copy as peewee former 7.0 or the Rocky Mountain 7.0. All three 7.0 had ow/w sold for $29K (swapto), $35K (peewee22) and $38K (RM). This RM copy is a premium to pay but not a tremendous premium since it's looks the best of all the 7.0. This is definitely great news for high grade holders of AF15 and prices are well supported here now.

(High 5 !!). We BOTH have one of these!! :hi:

Hard to assign a FMV on AF15. Been that way 4-ever. When it was a $1 grand book, it would sell for 1.25, 1.5, etc. Ultra nice PQ? A potential double guide book! (No CGC in those days...I mean, comics DO have pages). Honestly, I don't think I even looked at FMV when I went through my run spree recently. (Which is why I got burnt on one...). Great book, great investment and comes complete with Aunt May's wheatcakes. We're all proud to say this is the #1 book in the #1 thread on the #1 Society !! :preach::baiting:

It's always a great feeling to own any AF15. :cloud9: When I bought my first AF15 3.5, I felt goosebumps and love which I can say with only a few books.

We're all proud to say this is the #1 SA book in the #1 hm thread on the #1 club!! :preach::baiting:

Fixed it for you.

Probably the no.1 society. I'll give you that as there arre no GA societies :baiting:

No. 1 thread for comics: GA Collection

No.1 SA book - yes but there are a couple of GA books that most would say beat it :baiting:

I purposely left out the TYPE (ie, SA) of book. There's too many Spidey fans out there to dogpile you... :makepoint:
