What? You didn't hear? The club was disbanded a few days ago due to lack of interest. I guess you will just need to send me that copy.

Congratulations! I remember the thrill of getting my copy like it was just yesterday.

I might as well join the MacMan, cough cough, I mean AF15 fan club... :tonofbricks:

It's not my fault I'm a likeable enough fellow  And should we take this to mean you'll be starting your AF 15 hunt officially? :baiting:

Thanks guys... I still don't feel like it's hit me yet, but that could be due to my being under the weather. I have sitting on the shelf next to my ASM 1, and the other keys. It's so weird to think I actually own a copy--unrestored no less. :cloud9:

Congratulations! Let me begin by telling you everything amazing about your copy.

It's unrestored, the ink colors are solid, no marvel chipping, and most importantly it is the greatest comic book of all time. I know what you mean about it know hitting you yet, when I got mine i referred to that feeling as "happy-shock".

Again contratualtions on owning a piece of history.

I recently ran across your website and figured I might as well throw my hat/comic into the ring.

My AF15 was truly a once-in-a-lifetime find, at a garage sale in Wichita, Kansas, in the early 1970's. I paid 25 cents for it. Of course, it was only about ten years old then, and not quite the American icon it is now. In fact, as a callow teenager at the time, with just a passing interest in Spider-Man, I actually did not realize the significance of the comic until more than a year later -- I wasn't a collector, and AF15 didn't look like a "Number One" issue even though the story was clearly his origin. Eventually I figured it out -- went back to the garage sale address, of course, in case the guy had other significant comics I might have missed, but nothing panned out, as I recall.

My interest in comics remained and my collecting increased, so now I'm as addicted as you all are, especially to Marvel Silver Age. Unfortunately, Whoever Rules The Universe has granted me my single miraculous find for this lifetime, so I don't have much hope of finding an FF 1 at another garage sale. It doesn't keep me from hunting, though!

I'll try and post an image now or later, though I'm not very computer-savvy. And I'll tell a story about my visit to the Library of Congress (which is where I discovered this message board).
