Good thing I just picked up a really nice 5.0 ow/w before this auction.

That's a record breaking price for a 5.0. :o

most I have sold a 5.0 for was 12,500...admitedly this 15K copy is pressable, but likely only to a 5.5, which makes it about a 15K copy before pressing and regrading expense...now, if it hits a 6.0, then the buyer will be "happy"

Definitely a nice 5.0...well centered and great PQ. The vertical creases on the spine knocked it quite a bit. Great looking copies at HA.

Not sure dealers/sellers will see it the same way. It sets a new benchmark for 5.0s, especially since the 4.0 and 4.5 did well too.

Chrom's forumula continues to hold pretty true for the low and mid grade copies: GRADE x 1.5 = Price. Only exception is the one book there with White PQ--not surprised it went for an aggressive price, esp. if there is a chance to upgrade a notch.

Therefore the new pricing for nonchipped copies is 12,500?? Based on these 2 sales oif the 4.4/5.0?
