The Leader detonated a gamma bomb in Middletown, Arizona that killed 5,000 people. His plans were so precise that if the Hulk wasn't magically transported away at the last second by some unseen wizards, Incredible Hulk 345 would have been the last appearance of the Hulk....

Still no idea why it would get that kind of cash though.... ??

I believe that it is a giant size book, McFarlane's last full issue and it has a great cover - cover reminds me of a classic silver age.

It's indeed a 52-pager, but #346 is the last McFarlane Hulk...

Cool McFarlane cover Giant Size book that someone out there likes a whole lot

 

I like to buy these when I see nice copies but not over $100

Agreed... this is a classic, striking cover. The Hulk is hot, and while $100 may seem like a lot to some of us... its chump change to many.

I agree...I can't satnd that cover.

this comic was also recently featured in wizard mag. as one of the hulk comics that should be a good investment in the future. maybe thats why it went for so much!
