Legendary E.C. artist Jack Kamen, also famous for his GGA work, died August 5th.

Kamen was a favorite of mine. One of the books I liked best in my precode collection was DAGAR DESERT HAWK #20, in which Kamen did the cover and the last story.

 

Here is the cover. I was always taken by the pose of the woman aiming the rifle. I liked the raise of the right arm, with the slight uptilt of the elbow. All business there and pretty accurate!
