From the lower edge kinking, it looks like you use Mylites? Mine look the same.

For pulps I use Bill Cole Silver/Golden age Arklites with Standard Comic size Time-X-Tenders backing boards. What is your choice?

I think they slide around too much in Golden Age bags.

I way toying with the idea of collecting a full run of Planet Comics for the covers, but now I may have to change that to Planet Stories pulps instead. Nice run!

I use E. Gerber's Mylite2s... Golden Age size, since the thickness of the pulps vary, I have found that it is just much more economical to put them all in Golden Age size... As for the Planet Comics vs. Planet Stories issue... I reached the same conclusion, and now am one issue away from completion!!! And I have only 17 to replace to have a complete run in VG or better :P I just decided that I liked the painted covers better, and the Graham Ingels cover (his first and ONLY cover for the pulps) for v02n06 was the clincher :D

Cimm, those are so freakin' amazing. Keep 'em coming.

Say, do you read many of these, or do you just admire the covers? I know you've read many pulps, but I'm curious to know if you've read them in magazine form or online or maybe in books. I've always wanted to read an ERB story in the original magazine form.

Yes, I read them... that is at least half the enjoyment... reading a story you've never heard of by an unknown author...

I agree! A good strategy is to read the letters page. You quickly get a good idea as to the stories that are the best from any given issue this way. Then just go back a couple months to the issue they are talking about and read the best stories. It is odd, but the people who write in usually pick the same 2 or 3 stories as stand outs from any given issue.

On the other hand, it is great to read at random. You never know what you will find.

It can be tricky to read a $100+ 70 year old magazine in one hand so you can get to your bag of chips and beer with the other; with the cat rubbing her head on the spine...all while making sure the cover does not come off!
