The Detective 461 from July of 76 was the first comic I purchased off the stands. Still have the original book that started a nearly 45 year hobby. Brings back a lot of memories. Thanks!

DC Comics from that time period brings back childhood memories with me too, especially the ones with the bi-centennial banner from 1976. That was when I my obsession with comics began and I remember these issues well.

The Spectre run in Adventure Comics was also important to me. Issue #433 was the first comic I ever owned, and I still have my original copy somewhere (along with other copies later acquired). Can't get enough.

Could get weird. I’ve assembled and sold off the Claremont X-Men books several times. These are the worst copies I’ve had; could be a gloriously ugly run! Here’s the 94 again.

Cool! I have whooped copies of 95 and 99! I'm sure I over paid but I had to see what the "death" of warbird was all about after such a new team!

My local shops love me; I get pricing favors. I'm guessing I did ok on the 95, and I got the 6 comics all for $50 (!) so I really liked that deal. But for most things, I rarely know anymore what's a good deal. The grades and money levels I frequent are so low that I just decide if I want it or not. I'm probably overpaying often. I don't worry about it much!
