Threw an ad up on Facebook and a guy says he has Avengers Annual #10 for sale. Sends a pic showing just the top book with a string wrapped around it. The comic was obviously bent at the edges and I was getting ready to thank him and tell him I wasn’t interested when as he sent the side view picture of all of them.

His dad owned a comic shop/video store. He sold everything except this one box which he simply forgot about it. It had these, a Power Pack stack, and a Web of Spidey Annual #2 stack. He said his dad didn’t save this particular book on purpose, he just missed the box when he closed down.

I believe that better than 75% of them are at least 9.4 with maybe 12-15 in the 9.6 range. With a lot of luck, maybe I’ll get a gift 9.8 but I doubt it. That’s the story.😊

That's a great story! Thanks for sharing it. The string on the stacks freaked me out a little. But you are going to get them all graded?

Graded 41 of the 49. There were 3 that were absolutely destroyed and 5 that I think are between 8.0 to 8.5. I’ll let you know how it turns out but it’s going to be a while. I didn’t fast track anything.

Starlin's signatures leave something to be desired... Anyway, picked this one up and another Starlin SS book earlier this year for about/less than what it would have cost me to buy a decent copy and get it slabbed/SS. I guess Starlin signs a lot? He is/was a cheap signature. I actually got this for about the same price as a non-SS cgc 8.0 sold for a couple of weeks earlier. I am not obsessed with the sigs, but if I am not paying a premium for one I don't mind for an artist or writer I really like. These guys from my childhood are all in their 70s and 80s now.

Yes they are.  I’m sure that’s why there’s no mention on the label.  Thankfully 3D Man didn’t make the Agents of Atlas cut.  Also Namora isn’t in this issue

I will ALWAYS like and support any Arsenal issue. Love that character, so much so I have a set just for him :D  https://comics.www.collectors-society.com/WCM/ComicCustomSetView.aspx?s=29180

as for my weekly Bronze pick up I found this pretty nice copy of ToD #1. Might get it graded one day if the prices keep creeping up.

(worship) Such an awesome cover. 1977 was a great, great year for The Avengers.

The real additions this week came in the form of some Peanuts books, but I still was able to add a few more Adams to the pile.

Hello every one, this is my first post in this CGC forum (any thread/place for newbie to introduce themselves?)

Anyway, here's my first comic in 35+ years, my first slab ever
