Love your site! Such a great resource and fun to look at it!!

Thanks!  That's awesome!  I love that my collection is available to the public.  I always felt so bad that my years of collecting was just stored away and known only to me.

Does anyone have any recommendations for mylar or mylite bags for TMNT 1-4? Or even any good poly bags that fit correctly?

With the TMNT #73 project I used Mylites-4 bags with Full-Back boards (both Standard Size).  They are kind of expensive but these bags and boards are fantastic and I think they'd be great for #1-4.  The size you'd need for the Mylites would be the "Magazine & Letter" which measure 8.75" x 11.5" and the Full-Back would be the "Magazine" size which measures 8.25" x 10.5".  Both are available on Amazon.

And we're off to the races!  Two new Heritage TMNT #1 1st print listings are up for sale and the prices are already moving on up.  Recall that the last 9.6 they sold went for $26K so this will be very interesting.  Meanwhile over on ebay a more recent 9.8 went for $30K, seemingly low in comparison.  We will see if Heritage garners higher bids and sales.

The 9.6:

I looked and there are 2 9.4's on ebay right now at around 11.5-12K each.  That's a bit higher than recent sales prices of $8225 on 12/17 and $10,250 on `1/5.

However if you read more about the higher grades you'll find they haven't had the price appreciation of the lower grades, presumably because most people can't afford them so there's more demand for lower grades.

On the face of it, that seems probably right.  We'll see what happens with these 2 high grade copies.

I had 9.0 which I paid 5500.00 for. Too much I don't know but it really didn't go up a lot after 2 years of ownership and I think you guys are right about 6.0-8.0 grades getting more buzz. I traded my copy and few other books to get AF15 cgc 2.0 which I felt would do better long term than turtles. I loved that turtles book sigh

It makes sense and your experience with the mid-grades is more confirmation.  AF15 is a nice trade though so you did well!

I don't think the Turtles as a visible product are going to lose too much over the years.  They're still on advertisements here in NY often enough.  The other week the Metropolitan Museum had a Michelangelo exhibit and actually brought in a person in a Turtle costume for the opening.

TMNT needs a good movie reboot (for the love of god anyone but Michael Bay)  or something to bring it more heavily back into popular culture domestically and internationally before we see sustained ridiculous prices for the 9.6s And 9.8s.

Nickelodeon owns TMNT, so they're going to keep it with the Nickelodeon target audience.  Michael Bay is exactly a Nickelodeon-level target audience director.

I got this recently via rewards from the bay:

Nice - I just gave away this three issue mini series to a friend who has introduced his 3 year old boy to the turtles cartoon and loves em. Figured this comic series would make for an excellent starting point they can read together as it was both family friendly and fairly simple :D

9.6 same.

Well the 9.8 was at $21,000w/ Buyer's Premium (BP) : $25,095.00.

But someone must have had a good day in the stock market because now the 9.8 is up to:

$26,000w/ Buyer's Premium (BP) : $31,070.00.

That's just over the recent record ebay sale of $30,100, and this auction has 15 days to go.

Beware!  Counterfeit copies of Gobbledygook 1 and 2 for sale on EBay.

I messaged the seller.  Let’s see how he responds.

I'm surprised their website person never heard about these (as forged/fake copies) since a quick web search brings up this:

I sent a message as well.  The book is fake and the signature is fake.  100% confident about it.
