I was surprised when I got my first one Leo on how big he was. You won't find a statue set more true to comic art from old days anywhere. It is the statue set of tmnt period.

Ive got these as well , had them since a kid my parents ordered them with coupon from comic thinking they were toys when I got them I was so devastated they weren't I tossed them across room in anger lmao. My mom without me knowing picked them up out them in drawer until about 2 years ago where they were uncovered. Anyone have info on these

Yes, that's the very first Dark Horse Miniatures set. This set was just a plastic baggie stapled to flimsy paper. Later sets were on blister packs. I posted my sets below as an example of the later packaging. Normally yours is a pretty rare set, but there are a couple of them for sale on Ebay at the moment.

Some recent TMNT purchases:

I must thank Turtle and woregul for helping me out with some of these books.  The eBay seller whom I got the TMNT Adventures Canadian price variant and 9.8 #7 second print from also threw in a TMNT 2009 color error and a raw #7 second print in for free.  The trades are all first prints and the sixth print 9.6 was mine that I subbed at the Baltimore con this year.  I was hoping for a 9.8 but to be honest I agree completely with the 9.6.  Just hoping to get lucky I guess.

Can someone explain to me why the #7’s in 9.8 are pricey?  I got mine at the GPA low (timing I guess).

Hi there, great collection!  I love the more obscure stuff and you've got yourself a ton of it!

The #7 2nd printings apparently had a low print run and they are notoriously hard to find in high grade.  The blue ink is very susceptible to rubbing off and leaving whitish blotches, almost like chalk on the areas that rub against other books.  I have one high grade copy ungraded and it took me years to find it.  All the others I've bought and sold have had spine creasing issues and the "shelf wear" issue.

Many thanks to Rich for setting up the Kickstarter for TMNT (IDW) #73 variant cover by Jim Lawson. I only wish I had known about it sooner to get one of the front cover hand-colored editions that was limited to 50 copies. Only 1000 printed, and I have this copy plus 1 raw unsigned.

I also got this off eBay a while back. I don't know how rare it is, but you do not see them too often. Tape pull at the top :( and some color rubbed off on the bottom left, but otherwise a decent copy. At least I have a copy :)

I've got that Mikey book and all the other covers with turtles from that same series

I have a few of them, but not sure if I have all of them. I know I do not have all the variants. I will have to look to see if I have a full set or not.

Oh hey, you backed the Kickstarter too? Awesome, it looks great! I really appreciate the effort Rich put in to get us an awesome variant cover by Jim Lawson.

I was one of the ones who got the hand-colored cover. Mine's still in the mail though, will have to post pictures when it arrives. It's my first ever graded comic, so that made it extra exciting.

Of the 50 hand-colored comics, only 29 were graded, and of those, only 23 got sketches on the back. I was one of the 12 graded hand-colored copies to get Rich's signature along with Jim's signature, and one of the 10 to also get a sketch on top of all of that (which I went for a custom sketch).

It's definitely going to be the gem of my comics collection for some time (though I hope to add more special items to it once I'm able).
