I would think his history of purposely defrauding others could definitely come into play. He's spent time in jail, he's created & maintained multiple identities with intent to defraud, he has purposely and with malicious intent misrepresented items of commerce...in short, he's a crook. I'm sure if Mr. Zaid wanted to bring in expert witnesses, there'd be no end of comic dealers who would be overjoyed to testify on Dupcak's character (or lack thereof), and business practices.

What Danny has over looked through out his history on ebay, is that every fraudulent act of his leaves a paper trail.

EDIT: And eBay, for all the lousy service it provides to ts customers and thier ridiculous fees and rules, is on it where it comes to answering subpoenas and providing detailed documentation of a user's account. eBay is also excellent in assisting law enforcement. If any records are subpoenaed, they will provide a gold mine of info.

I used to date Danny when he was running Fantasia in Hartsdale NY. I know that he used to trim the edges of comic books and baseball cards in order to make them look better. Sometimes he would also color and bleach them.

Danny and I dated for almost three years in the early 90's.

Towards the end of our stormy relationship I got pregnant and had a son

No, The Dragon's Den was on Central Ave., Yonkers- Fantasia was on "4corners" Hartsdale ave. not far from north white plains.

 

I know exactly where the 4 corners are, so it was on Hartsdale Ave? but I don't remember a store there, I guess I got them confused...Dragon's Den was pretty large.

Jan, just want to say thanks for coming on here and opening up. Danny has caused a lot of people a lot of grief and although we know little about your situation I think you have the best wishes of all those involved here.

Her case involves child support and an effort to increase it, from the very little that it is at the moment. I wouldn't be too concerned about anything she might write here on the boards. She is aware of the limits.

 

In any event, Danny is more than welcome to file a defamation case against her (and I'm licensed in NY) which would only create the ability to pursue discovery such as through depositions and document production requests. I haven't been able to develop a case before this time because no one was willing to pursue it or the damages had been minimized since Danny paid them back (after receiving an interest free short-term loan).
